Funny thing in Floo... isn't good just in turn 1, because thanks to Raiza the megamonarch, Shifter can be looped and can be used it again the next turn.. or if you have another copy of Shifter in your hand, you can use Stri's effect to banish the first Shifter from gy and use the second one on the next turn... very happy plays!!

Droll is like Shifter, of its being mained is it's not a good format. Ash is easier to slot and stop. Droll has to be answered if it does come up or it, really slows things down most of the times it comes up. One of the funnier things is someone forgetting Droll is reciprocal.

the moment shifter gets banned floo loses viability. youre just thinking about going first. every deck should have a high win% going first (even without degen floodgates) going second fissure and any of its kind is a brick that doesnt do anything

I play shifter in my side deck and switch them out with Effect Veiler depending on what I'm up against.

I play both Pendulum and Exosister, I f**ing hate how a MacroCosmos-like effects just shut down the whole thing of Pendulum monsters going to the Extra Deck Face-up, just because yes. However, I didn't wanted to play DS in Exosister at first, until I was testing Small World 'Bridges', and one of the best targets for Martha/Aratama is Shifter... so I ended up buying a set. At least that way is a Live Handtrap and if not, a SW bridge. I think Shifter is so annoying just because it can ONLY be used properly on the very first turn, is like: ' I opened a GREAT starting hand and my opponent just happens to have THAT ONE CARD. ' At least I think of it that way using and playing against.

Vanquish Soul also occasionally plays it. Are there no tops for VS or did Craig miss it during research? :o

I love shifter. My favorite hand trap.

D shifter is truly a menace....though one must admire its simplisic skullduggery!

When playing kashtira at locals I tribute set shifter because my opponent negated my donner and I would rather not leave a vulnerable link monster on the board. It won me the match against salad

as much as i hate shifter it got me a top with tenpai

My Soul of the Schemer strategy involved running Magicians Souls with 1 shifter in any rogue deck where shifter kinda hurts. You foolish the shifter and your opponent, not knowing how your rogue deck works, will assume you’re on a shifter deck and will side them out of their deck games2&3 😂… if I don’t get to foolish shifter in game 1… it might… accidentally fall out of my deck. There’s nothing against giving your opponent extra information, right? 😅

I've only faced it a handful of times IRL, but that is the one deck that scares the living life out of me when I come across it.

Idk guys but i feel like stratz doesn't like shifter...

I LOOOOOOVE horus decks, volcanic, ogdoadic, orcust etc. So many times I've opened the god hand and immediately lost because shifter turns off my whole deck is infuriating, fuck this card

Considering what yugioh has devolved into, it's hard to feel bad for someone who loses to this any more than it is for someone losing to a deck like tear or snake-eyes getting to play the game.

i dislike this card.

The necessary evil to stop the repeated tier 0 meta needs banning? All of you are just bad players that can’t play through hand traps.

For me it's not about stopping tier 0 meta. Shifter is extremely toxic because just like Maxx C it's extremely easy to use and floodgates the hell out of opponent for simply playing the game. "I will go first. Draw phase. Activate Shifter, response?" "Oh your rogue deck needs graveyaed mechanic so bad? Well too bad it doesn't work anymore". It's such an absurdly powerful card that should've never been made. It fucks every deck that needs graveyard to function. It's an unhealthy handtrap.

“just bad player that can’t play through handtraps” saying that is ironic as hell pertaining to a FLOODGATE handtrap with little to no counter-play lol stop trying to think you’re better than others knowing good and damn well that Shifter isn’t a card you can just easily play though especially since it completely removes access to a prominent zone area of the game.

Yeah Birds, Monarch, and Dark/Light Chaos Decks really piss me off when you see cards that like using lingering Effects like this! Hell, even stun Decks like Barrier Statue will use this Card the first chance they get and it is DOWNRIGHT INFURIATING to stop! The amount of Counter Options to these BS cards, especially for stuff like Artifacts is a major problem in Advanced Formats!
