Honestly the vicar's cartoony expressions and acting makes Palpatine's low-key, subtle voicework sound even cooler. It's bizarre how well it syncs up in a lot of scenes! Also Wallace's "where are my legs??" is great, I love when an animation error gets turned into a joke.

And I love how Aardman is still keeping up this quality work. Like the latest Shaun the Sheep movie, even as a 16 year old I had some big laughs, because they made sure their film wasn’t aimed specifically at kids. They excel at their audience, finding humour that both adults and kids can enjoy and laugh at.

The science side of youtube is here, with four reasons: 1: Wallace was actually higher up than Victor by at least a few feet, which can make a surprising amount of difference. 2: Victor landed on the van, which despite being made of steel has suspension to absorb the shock, which gives him a LOT of cushioning on landing. also, it takes a few feet off the total fall which - again - makes a surprising amount of difference. 3: Wallace had a whole-ass dog in a carnival ride carriage on top of him when he fell, which is going to make that fall much, much more dangerous. It's hard enough falling from four and a half stories; having a fully-functioning airplane fall four and a half stories and crash on top of you makes things much worse. 4: The square cube law. Running with its principles for a bit brings us to the conclusion that larger creatures suffer more from the same fall than smaller creatures. It's for this reason that, for a fall of the same height, a mouse will walk off like all's right in the world, a human will break every bone in their body, and a horse will splash. Those were-rabbit hoppers might have saved Wallace if he landed on them, but he landed flat on his back - all that weight bludgeoning him to near death from within.

I was completely dying the entire time. Curse of the Were-Rabbit is one of my childhood cornerstones. I never saw it in theaters but I stumbled upon it at like 3 AM one weekend as a kid when it was on HBO or something and I have loved it ever since. It’s hysterical, fun, and actually can get a little creepy sometimes. I thought there’s no way this can be funnier, but damn I think this might be. This was amazing usage of Palpatine, great slapstick that was my childhood thoughts come true, and gag after gag that landed. I always wanted to see a quality YTP of this movie. Thank you so much for bringing something from my childhood full circle.
