Given all the tourists they have to deal with, it’s pretty understandable. And I imagine some of them ask the engines if the various conspiracy theories about the books and show are true. (They aren’t)

Throughout this poop, Percy, repeatedly, breaks the fourth wall. Him questioning the plot to Mrs. Kyndley is one example. Another example is when Percy asked why can’t Edward be the something blue and the something old if he’s going to the wedding. Which makes sense since Edward is blue and old. The final example is when Percy stated “Wait, but it’s not her wedding.”
