This was easily one of my favourite Paris shows from the season. Not just the collection, but the aura of the guests and the location was really fitting. It seems every guest walked away with the feeling like Saint Laurent had reminded them what luxury was and is.
I had YSL Bath-towels 45 years ago: Raised Navy stripe-pattern over a low-nap Lime background; with the distinctive "YSL" monogram - that I used-to joke-about. Fashion snobs at the NYTimes complained that the Great Designer was "selling-out." What Sold-Out were 34,000 bath-towels in One Week from the Bloomingdale's flagship store on 59th Street. Smart/Lucky me: I got there Early; and hung those Towels for Years !
