@Saaduddin Ansari He went to Altago in Ys Seven. And he's an adventurer - why wouldn't he go to the North Pole, a place that not many would've exactly gone during the era of Ys?

Half of the reason I love this series so much is it awesome OST. The songs are always great and yet always have this familiar feeling, you hear a Ys song and you know its from this series right away.

So true. And it's not only Ys. You recognize Falcom immediately, no matter the game. And they are *always* phenomenal songs. As for what gives it away, it's the love and passion for what they do. And the violin... ♥️

@@IanDouglasVO That's true, but if you look at the trails series, it's a bit slower. Love em' all, but this... man... what a rush..

And as yet another reason as to why Falcom's sound team is the best (they don't really need a reason beyond having the best sound soundtracks by far, but hey, here we are anyway): They post the ost on KZread themselves, making it available to everyone. For the record, if it weren't available like this, I wouldn't have had the exposure necessary to make me go and actually buy the soundtrack. And that's something that most game devs don't understand.

At first it sounds like a desperate situation but at the minute mark you feel you just might make it and at end you do

I was listening to this practically all day yesterday, I think it might be one of my favorite tracks in the whole series.

Holy cow this is amazing! The sheer energy from this music brought a massive smile to my face!

The fight with Nameless springs to mind when I hear this. Up to that point in the game, I had handled the boss fights without any issue. He felt like a wake up call boss. Those traps of his are vicious especially if you are playing on higher difficulties.

I like Ys games for the gameplay, story, etc. But most of all I'm always happy when a new Falcom Sound OST comes around. This is unique.

This song strongly reminda me of Sky's Fateful Confrontation and Cold Steel 2's Severe Blow. I never played Ys before, but God, it has a lot of eargasmic tracks!

History only concerns itself with the results... Therefore, in the name of evil, I will rip my way into the pages of history! I admit, he may have been a short-lived villain, but nameless was very good at monologuing. At least, once the reworking of the dialogue was implemented. Seeing that scene pre-patch was... oof. It also helps that his weapon of choice is surprisingly well thought out, tactical, and quite badass in its implementation.

I'm glad you feel the same way I do. I agree 100%. His monologues were great, and there was SOME truth to what he was saying. I just wish he lasted longer in the plot.

Definitely the best of all the boss themes in Ys VIII besides A to Z. I actually didn't like it at first, and preferred Deadly Temptation, but this one grew on me.

This is like one on my favourite boss theme from the series. I fucking love Ys.

This is a really seriously clever track when you look into it, I mean with duo protagonists, having a melody carried by 2 very distinct instruments they're hardly hiding their symbolism lmao

this OST makes me feel like I can drive a sword straight into a dragon's heart out of the Energy Rush it gives

The first 6-7 seconds sound kind of like the start of a Mega Man Robot Master battle.

某遊戯王ads動画から来ました。めっちゃ盛り上がる！

At first I preferred Deadly Temptation because it has such a bad ass starting guitar riff, but that theme kinda loses steam as it goes on. Whereas this one simply gets better and better as it goes on. Crimson Fighter might seriously be my favorite boss track of all time.

if u guys think this music is awesome, why not look up Baiton kaitos's music, that was on the gamecube in 2003. It was a Jrpg aswell and this kind of music isnt the first of its kind for sure.

N K ys always been a rock/heavy metal back in late 80s to early 90s with falcom live performances.

We don't know if they'll be rearranged or if there's other versions lying in wait. I'm not confident the new jdk Band can handle these w/o simplification either.

i really doubt it! They were scheduled to release at the same time, but since they have problem with framerate, it's probably the reason they delayed it for PS4

jdk Band Theta, formed in 2015 after the 2006/2007 jdk Band broke up recently. The old performers still record parts for arrangements of in-game music, mainly for the Evolution releases of Kiseki games at the moment.
