Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana follows thrill-seeking protagonist Adol and his blue-haired companion Dogi as they return to Dogi’s homeland of Felghana. The eight years they’ve been away have not been kind to the lands which are now filled with roaming monsters, a newly active volcano, and a greedy new overlord extorting the suffering residents. While Dogi seeks help from his former master, Adol remains to help the locals, only to find himself embroiled in a world of conspiracies and ancient legacies.

If people only care for top of the line graphics then they don’t deserve to play gems like these. I haven’t played this one but not once do I think of the graphics.

@@Vayne_Solidor yup. I played them both and even got the platinum in Lacrimosa! I also don’t mind the graphics one bit even going back to early 3D on the N64. The only drawback for me is the resolution meant for CRT displays displayed on flat screens but to me they still hold up even of CRT screens. There’s so many even 2D games back on the SNES that still hold up very well today and I enjoy playing games with those graphics.

Ys: Memories of Celceta is on PS4 if you haven't tried it yet. I enjoyed it as well.
We are due for some peak from the PS2 and PSP era.
Oh and this is a heavy throwback as in the 3rd on Snes OG he did talk
The best announcement of the day for me! Now, all we need on PS4 and PS5 is The Ark of Napishtim and the Napishtim-Engine-trilogy will be complete!!!

Exceptional game, this is the game that kicks you down and pour salt on your wounds. Everyone should give this a whirl.

Can someone who knows the older games better than me (I started with VIII, played IX, origins, and celceta) tell me 1. If this is a remake of a numbered entry? 2. Where on Adol's timeline it fits relative to those other games as well as relative to X? Probably interested in picking this up I just want to know what I'm getting into.

This is more like a remaster of a remake for ys 3. In terms of the timeline, as far as I remember it's after origins,1,2,10,4 but before 5,8,6,7,9

This is the best Ys game and one of the best Action JRPGs ever! REALLY challenging and very replayable too, in my opinion. Don’t skip it!

FINALLY I always wanted to play this game but the PSP version is way to expensive I can finally play it on a console as nature intended
I love what I am seeing and oh that combat! Thank you for localizing this and releasing that Refined Edition. Those enhancements like double speed and original/enhanced art are welcomed as well.

Cool but what I really want is Ys 1 and 2 remade to play more like this and Origins. I like the Ys games that play like this more so than even the 3D games.

Blasphemous... Bump combat was when this series was at its peak , it's all been downhill since then.... Jokes aside, there is something more charming about these style of games Plus I find the combat is more fun than ys 8 or 9 I kind of wish they kept the old engine around for spin off games

Hopefully they give us the option for the jp voices. PC players had to mod them back in after the update. The English voices acting isn't that great for this game.
