She's fantastic!! With the turbulent nonsense we have to endure daily on this spinning ball it's an absolute joy (and an escape!) to watch such a hugely gifted youngster who's retained that child-like sense of fun and enthusiasm for her massive talents!

shes a boss. considering she was missing half the kit to cover that track, she crushed it. neils timing was for sure the hardest thing to copy about him and she just has every time and shuffle and feel inside her. shes incredible

Amazing she can do YYZ so well this casually. Her grooves sound pretty good. I will check her channel out.

Her time is so perfect. In a comment one time I saw someone give her the nick name "the atomic clock of rock" and I think it is very fitting.

Absolutely sublime, words fail me to describe what I feel about Yoyoka's groove, she is truly in a class of her own. And I love the sound of her new Ludwig drums.

Hi Jan, She had to.... Robe Yule has been drilling that into her every time she has said YYZ. She had to, in order to get him to stop harassing her about it....lol (Rob is my friend)

Her muscle memory must be so huge. She just seems to be getting better and better each time I watch her live streams. When she looks down to her left, she's reading her homework.

Thanks Wave and Rob Yule! BONUS: YOYOKA in goofy, smiling mode! I think a lot of what we think Aki is doing, YOYOKA is now doing. Of course YOYOKA is no different than all the other awesome Japanese female musicians. They mostly sound better live. Opposite of most musicians, who sound great in the studio, and can't always duplicate their performance live. YOYOKA makes this look so easy. I'm wondering if this is the song that Rob was referring to where he thought she was reading the live stream comments while playing. Note her looking at the snare quite frequently for no apparent reason.....hmm You can tell that for 90% of the song doesn't have to pay particularly close attention. Mostly muscle memory. She seems to be able to do this regardless of how difficult the song is.

It was during the Young and Brave where the battery died. The live chat was where's Shido etc. but she makes a comment on that well after the chat comments scrolled by so she was clearly reading them all along.

@@Rob-Yule She's too funny. I love how occasionally people will comment on her being really focused. Couldn't be further from the truth. No focus required once she has learned the song.

The Professor would have loved Yoyoka.

@Wave - You should have let the end of YYZ run for a fun explanation of proper pronunciation (as Jan mentions below) of YYZ. I always razz her on that).

Weird. Not letting me put my own comment here. Oh well thank you Wave for your joyful reaction and thank you Rob Yule for your request to make this reaction possible and mostly thanks to Yoyoka, her family and to the ascended masters of rock with whom she has a mystical connection! My favorite Yoyoka is goofy Yoyoka!

She is a force of nature; that performance of YYZ is both looser and tighter than her original drum cover. Pure old-school feel.

Wouldn't it be a super cool treat if Geddy and Alex hired Yoyoka to do a special Show of several RUSH tunes to promote Rock Music to the next generation of young talent that'll take Their place one day?! 🤘❤️🤘 Love this super talented little lady! She's completely amazing!!!
