Thanks Steve, very useful as always!
Brilliant explanation and so useful. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for the hints... I was looking for a replacement of my bushings.
Thank you for this, and all your other, practical gguides about the "mechanical" side of surfskating. They are a tremendous help.
🤙🤙
Great info, thank you! I bought 90a but I’m only 60kg… wonder if I should try 85a, do you think it would make a noticeable difference to me? I imagine most of the flowiness comes from the YOW system rather than the bushings?

You will feel a very big difference from 90a to 85a. You’ll feel it going down to just 87.5a.
I bought the pivot cups and 90a bushing from RipTide, one of the pivot cup didn’t fit properly and I had to sand down the bottom of the cup thinner to make it work for now, still waiting for the shop to send me another one to try. And the 90a bushing felt quite a bit softer that the stock bushing. I weigh about 86kg

the replacement pivot cup worked flawlessly.
Hi Steve! I own a yow s4 surfskate and i love the tight turning radius but it can be quite tiresome to keep it up to speed. Wich surfskate truck would you recommend for the best pumping speed?

Hey Steve, what’s your thought about riptide’s krank bushings? Can’t find any info about these on surfskate and the aps are soldout almost everywhere in europe….

High rebound and great feel. Some people prefer it over APS, I prefer APS. Unfortunately we currently don't have that formula in the CX sizes, but I'm pushing RipTide for it so we can have both options.
Hi Steve, my weight is 50 kg and which bushing should I get then?

@@SurfskateLove Thank you so much!
Can the spring of yow s5 be installed on the truck of s4?

If you're talking about the old S5/S4, not the Meraki, then yes. Same truck, different spring.

@@SurfskateLove Hi Steve. I had a YOW V4 S4 system and I could not upgrade it to the S5. The 5mm spring would not fit my S4 system.
No no no don’t put any grease on your bushings. It will eat away at them and they will lose there rebound.
I’m gonna order some bushings from you but I’m wondering which duro. I’m 215 and have liked the way he original bushings felt, but they’re pretty worn. I’ll be replacing the spring and lubing it up to. Should I baby step it and see how I like the 90, or do the 92? I’ll tell you I’ve ridden it to the point it flops like a door stop spring when I flick it!🤣

I'd say go with the 90a.
