And yeah, the animation sometimes doesn't seem finished but that's just because one person is given a month to draw, colour, record audio, shade, script and edit an eight-minute video to fit the youtube algorithm.

2012-2015 was the peak. You were able to see the KZreadrs involved, good production, VERY trend/meme/popularity based and honestly rewatching them all they were the only ones I remembered. ALSO Mat addressed the thing with the videos games in 2019 which really pissed me off as well, but no one notices.

I agree, but I also know that many youtubers put a lot of work into making really great, well produced videos and see it as their job, they deserve to get paid just like everyone else. I also think that it's pretty evident when someone does it just because they want to be a youtuber and when they do it because they genuinely enjoy making the kind of content they make and connecting with their audience in the way that youtube allows them to. I'm the kind of person who is only subscribe to a few youtubers, but I know that I can count on those people to always, ALWAYS put out content that I'll enjoy, i don't mind supporting them. If they're giving me great videos, I don't see why they shouldn't get payed for the effort it took to make them.

I don't think they realize that there would never be another KZread Rewind. 2020, due to unforeseen circumstances (covid) was the year from hell. I guess we will have actual KZreadrs now to try to make their own....

I think the decline of KZread was when brand safety started happening and guiding restrictions began, its like money became more important to creativity
