Well, I totally agree with you, I'm not going to turn on my watch history anyways :) Also, I don't know why but I've tried with different accounts and on one It applys but on other the home page still works (for now). Btw thanks for the video about the update, not many people do this fast and useful.

Im using latest version on playstore 18.42.36

If you worry about privacy maybe focus on what email provider you use and avoid facebook messsenger. They scan all your files for abuse videos but thereby also access all your photos...

Im just tired of random shit appearing because my watch history is on now and I sometimes watch random stuff from time to time but it doesnt fit what id watch usually

The whole set up is rigged to collect your data and increase revenue. My interests and watch history is really no one's business. Recommendations with history on are often irrelevant, repetitious, and just plain irritating. I want to browse random content and view what I like, without shitty multiple recommendations filling up my entire home page. The whole experience just sucks now.

Yeah, they're basically forcing you to use KZread to whatever their advantage is, which is bs. If you choose a short subject then you only get so many scrolls and then it says your watch history is off again. Hey, I chose a subject wtf? Then if you do choose and watch short videos and go back you have to constantly start all over from the beginning. Are the developers smoking weed? Just totally fu. Should have left everything the way it was. Pretty much unusable now.

just go to library > history > click 3 dot > pause watch history

i actully like it better. Now it make me think what i want to watch and no more random s...t comes to my bome page. At firts i was pissed off Now I liked that.

Blame it on Eurppe for messing with algorytjhmic recommendations. KZread did whats fair: if you want no watch history we wont populate the page with stuff you skip thereby worsening cpm of creators

it's actually goood update, it will allow you to watch what you want, not what KZread recommends, so you won't waste time just scrolling to find good video to watch, if you don't know what to watch just get out

well what if i want to find a new channel though? i’m one of those people who are fine with not watching specific stuff, and that’s how i get channels to subscribe to. my favorite channels i found from the broken recommendations. now, if i want to do that, i gotta turn on my watch history which might influence my recommended if i decide to go on a high school dxd rabbit hole at 3 am in the morning
