I love this!! My husband and I decided to repurpose our guest bedroom this summer so we could each have our own home office. I have been slowly chipping away at mine with multiple filming books/angles in it and so far I am loving how it is coming together! I hope to be done this winter!

Great video Gillian and super cute helpers :)). It is always interesting to see how youtube creators arrange their background and lighting. I love your current background yet nice to have another option for sure. Inspired me to make some effort and think how to do it, although it can be hard in a small apartment where you live, cook, work, sleep, etc.

Fantastic advice - I need to schedule time to improve my background. Really useful knowing the room dimensions - it means I cannot blame the room size on my background now!

Decorating makes a big difference! This is just a bedroom in my house... painting the walls grey, hanging art, and adding plants all had a major impact. Don't think you necessarily need a whole new house!

With each new video, I’m really trying to implement your suggestions and do better. My daughter says my craft room background needs an intervention 😀!

Do you have a video about camera settings? The colors in your newer videos look so vibrant compared to what you started with.

A great video once again. What are your thoughts about shooting against a green screen and using a digital background. I thought this would provide consistancy when traveling and may be less expensive than the set materials.

Nice new set. I enjoyed the video. But the eco is still pretty noticeable. You could put some sound blankets up behind the camera to try to control that better.

I like to use a ring light plus some lamps with multiple bulbs. Just make sure you get "daylight" color bulbs!

I am interested in the exact camera you are using and also what camera stand you use for that camera. The main camera you recommended has several options. Is the w/24-70 mm the correct camera?

Gillian, thanks for the video. I am planning on starting a KZread video and your video has been very informative. Quick question for you, what was the camera setup used for this video; mainly what was your lens selection, 20mm or 24mm? I will be using Sony A7 IV. I currently own the 35mm f1.4, but considering getting a wide angle. Still have not narrowed it down between 24mm f/1.4 or 20mm f/1.8 yet. I like the feel of this video, that's why am curious about your lens selection. Cheers!

Nice! I'm really glad I "had" to decorate mine for filming, because it makes it a much nicer place to work... and I might not have put in the effort otherwise. :P Sounds like creating a nice space came naturally for you, though! :)

I am struggling to set up my space. I want to do exercise videos but do not have a room that is long enough and wide enough to not show a corner. Plus, the camera has to be far enough away to get my entire body in the shot and I cannot get the lighting bright enough without having the box lights and lamps in the video.
