I try to not be that hard on Carson but he did admit to trading nudes with a minor (basically being in possession of child pornography). It isn’t looking too good for him at the moment. It’s a real shame since he was one of my favorite youtubers. But I’m still gonna wait for an official response from Carson before forming an opinion.

with looting. See God came out with this patch for the world but he accidentally added a glitch where you could get looting and fortune 3 at the same time. Dream used this to his advantage and got the luck he did.

@The Doomslayer As far as I can tell the general reason his friends are against it, and the reason people are against it id because he used manipulative behaviour and his power/status as a youtuber to get what he wanted. I'm not claiming that's actually what happened because I'm not in the situation but that seems to be the general consensus, the two year gap isn't the issue for most people, is the abuse of power to gain his own desires through manipulation. When he promised he would change and was changing he was still acting the same way while he lied to his friends about it. If that is the truth and it somewhat looks to be the truth then he did something morally and ethically wrong.

To be fair, cancel culture typically cancels people for high brow serious crimes, like being a pedophile, cheating on your spouse, or insulting a make-a-wish foundation patient for example. I think the chances of him being cancelled outright for minecraft cheats of all things was low to begin with. No, im not saying CC is always right, im saying what they typically try to target.

@@huellbabineaux7433 In Pyro's case, as far as I have gathered from this video, he didn't know that the person they were talking to were underage. And even then, they could just lie about their age, like it happened with Projared. And in the Carson case... Like Wombat said, they're literally just 2 years apart in age. He didn't do it with a child way below his age. Plus, he even admitted it was regrettable and aims to do better So why do people still want him shot, when he already learnt his lesson? In any case, in none of these scenarios did I ever see any proof that an actual crime took place. But I guess people are so bored these days, that they want to shoot people (figuratively or literally) over the first bad sounding thing they hear, evidence and truth be damned.

Drama just feels so WTF at this point

The Pyro allegations really gave me some insight on other commentary channels, more specifically the ones that hopped on the bandwagon and proceeded to be a straw man when called out. Seems like Combat Wombat is one of the last good commentary channels in 2021. Guess we took them for granted in 2016.
