YouTube Channel Hijacked Experience | Engels Coach Shop

Dealing with a hijacked youtube channel is sure different than building and restoring horse drawn vehicles! But thanks for dedicated viewers and an efficient youtube staff, this channel was recovered and reestablished again. I am sharing the process of events that occurred, starting March 23rd, 2020 when I lost control to this channel to an unwelcome login from Romania.

"drawer" not "draw". But yes, these types of scams catch lots of people. I noticed a number of channels that all had the same weird "Microsoft News" or similar with the Bill Gates stream recording. I don't get what the end-game was there, as they weren't showing content that was of benefit to them. Maybe it was a long-game to take over channels. At work, they test us all the time with fake phishing emails, to see if we report them or click them. It's serious business. But, the fact that he DOES have full backups shows he's way more advanced than many other people. This should be recognized. Unrelated: I don't get why 15 people would down-vote this video. I know down-votes are a thing everyone deals with, but unless they are bots, that is just weird.

@@Psychlist1972 The game was: Bill Gates, well-known for his generosity, has taken a heart to give away 6000 Bitcoins, double amount of krypto-$ for every krypto-$ you send to the account/address showing up when you start the video. Waiting at the address was most probably a happy scammer raking the kryptos in while smearing the name of Bill Gates. Ha ha. Not funny as you know 1 krypto of this special brand pays USD 6760.86 at this moment. (April 4, 2020) Maximum was 20 krypto=130.000 USD to receive (wait long time for) 260.000 USD.

I would love to be able to show people how to hand cut auger flights and build hexagon augurs and how to lace rawhide drive belts but I just don’t have the opportunity to do that kind of work for anybody anymore. Making hardwood bearings and wooden bull wheels for industrial plants just doesn’t exist. So thank you again for all your effort I know how much time it takes to edit a video. Use your browser in "incognito Mode" or "Private Windows". Get a couple of browsers installed. I use one for Banking, one for general stuff internet, and one for just random browsing. Keeping them separate keeps general surfing from impacting important stuff. Use very good passwords and use different passwords for everything. Any you can write them down. No one has ever had anyone break into their physical address and steal their notepad with passwords on them. I am not preaching, just sharing some of my 30 years of experience. Glad to have you back.

Dave: Sorry you lost so many hours of time and I can not imagine the stress level. But THANKS for spending all that time getting back to normal!! You join me every saturday morning for breakfast! You talk & I eat! I only wish that you could have fixed all of this with some red hot heat from the coal forge and a 3 pound hammer on the anvil!! I have been a very busy business owner with a HVAC Refrigeration company for the last 18 years. But buy watching you work in your shop it has encouraged me to get out into my shop and start working also. This has lower my stress level. So not only do I learn something from you every time I watch a video. You are helping me deal with stress in my own life because I am now getting to work in my own shop after all these years! THANKS Again for not giving up!! Some thief may have tired to high jack you. But you and some help from Perry whipped him! THANKS Dan Hamilton Bennet Nebraska

Dave, you're back! I'm just an old carpenter who appreciates you're art. Arts that is. Plural. You aren't a Jack of all trades but a Master. But your channel is about more than a blacksmith, welder, machinist, mechanical engineer, metallurgist, carpenter, wood turner, joiner, seamstress, painter, historian type of guy who builds and repairs wagons. Once a week, in the middle of all the madness in the world you provide us with a safe place to go. Your calm demeaner and comforting voice show us that everything can be worked out and made right through planning, persistence and the will to simply work. Hooray for your return! And thank you for setting us such a good example. And for providing us a safe place in this big scary world. I missed you. Welcome back. To you and yours, stay safe. Kyle

When I tried to go to your channel a few days ago, it said your channel had been removed and asked if I would like to unsubscribe. I have seen the same message from channels that have been deleted, mostly chemistry channels. I couldn't see how you videos could be dangerous and hope KZread made a mistake and it would reverse what ever happened, so that's why I didn't unsubscribe. My first thought was that something happened to you, I am glad your ok and your channels back. Your videos relax me and I enjoy seeing what amd how blacksmiths from days gone by did. Thank you for sharing your skills and art.

I'm not much a adding comments but I wanted to today. I've been watching you channel for about 8 or 9 months now and I enjoy it very much. My Grandfather was a Blacksmith, Farrier, and a Wheelwright, he also repaired wagons, I think in his younger years he built wagons. When I was a small boy I stayed at his Blacksmith shop all the time and would help when they were working on wagon. I loved being with him at the shop, but as I got older and I started thinking about cars and girls and I stopped going to the shop as much. I've always said that 90% of what I know today I learned at the Blacksmith shop. He passed away in 1967 when I was 17 and I went into Navy the next year and then started a family. Watching you work takes me back to to those days with my grandfather and the Blacksmith shop. Thank you for sharing your work with us.

Came across your channel a couple of weeks ago, fascinating! These skills need to be preserved. But I noticed the mismatch of channel name and video header and held off subscribing, unsure of what was happening. Sadly its your honesty and lack of IT savvy which sets these wolves salivating.
