The attention to detail, placement and performed with grace and artistry - beautiful❤
The richness she gives this difficult variation, particularly in this slow tempo, is why she won. Deserved. BRAVA!

magnifique
Gracinha linda ,
Is she intentionally looking down?
She's good has great technique. Unfortunately I just don't feel that special something that makes for a legendary Prima ballerina. But she's decent
I'm sure she's a wonderful dancer but I don't understand this choreography, she never really looks at the audience, its so slow, and really just boring to watch ? Not even speaking of the gendered aspects of maybe having to communicate as little energy as possible ... Sorry to leave this comment but I just feel in 2023 young women should be allowed to be more lively than this, even in ballet.

the not-looking-at-audience and very slow, gentle and cautious elements are pretty much essentially how the choreography is done, especially when it’s danced at slow tempos (this has to be one of the slowest I’ve heard actually, it feels a tiny bit slower than usual). dancers who did this choreography at this tempo were alina somova and ulyana lopatkina, and they do look down or look upwards but away a lot. faster and more lively renditions like yulia makhalina tend to look into the audience a bit more. of course, somova and lopatkina still bring a lot of their presence into the role which helps it feel more lively, and this will likely come in time for this dancer.
