Weekly updates is like giving a fat kid all the food in the world expecting him to get healthier, whether the food's healthy or not. While really its doing nothing but harm when what actually needs to be done is working out with what he has and defining the existing features.

You're are correct, just many people like myself call for more spaced out updates bi-weekly, to monthly because we'd rather have good polished content, then to just have a weekly slop feast. & what they are doing isn't REALLY content, it's just new things with nothing do with them.

Weeklies were never the problem. The problem is the devs/community. 6 months ago was the golden age of weeklies. We got like 4 paths, an oath, Diluvian, Banks, relics, etc. The devs can clearly put out good updates every week, hence why nobody complained about having weeklies back then. They just put less effort into them recently cuz they're working on Conquest. Notice how people only started complaining recently because they're not as good as before. Polished content isn't worth doing either, as quantity>quality in a time like this. The end goal is Conquest, not good weekly content. If they do biweeklies, it'd just be a normal weekly update and they'd take the extra week to focus on Conquest. It would slow the content schedule and speed up Conquest development, not increase production quality. Atp all we can do is wait for it to drop. The devs have been doing weeklies for 2 years, it's clear they're already used to them.

@@Sc5ch yeah. It's not the issue of weekly's, & the good shit they have made. WE JUST HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BUILDS, ETC. its just the different build, the same thing to do. & that's what I am complaining about mostly.

i think everyone was getting hyped with all the new updates and then the weeklies got kinda more and more mid with no conquest in sight so a bunch of people dropped deep recently

background footage went from chime to using spectator mode to now just walking around summer isles

I feel like my big problem right now is the suggestion channel I don't really see anything in there get into the game and alot of those ideas are really good but I feel like they just don't listen to the suggestions or just listen to their community not just ignore them entirely and work on something that we want not conquest lol

You seeing these graphics on the time everyone went back to playing again waiting for CONQUEST and they didn't drop. Damn DanVR! Genius!

If they do stop weekly updates, the same people who were saying to stop weekly updates would complain about the game being too stale and that they should go back to weekly updates. Also, I see a bunch of people complaining about conquest but it's the Conquest Update. Conquest, from what I heard, is almost here and should (hopefully) be here before the end of summer.

when a weekly releases yeah it’s fun to get new stuff and it keeps players attention for a while but I don’t think that the updates are good for the quality of the game in the long run since they are trying to add something interesting every weekly they aren’t able to refine anything to the point that it doesn’t leave a stain on the games overall quality

The game got ruined for me ever since they dropped weapons or mantras as either slop or the most broken thing like it's a ABA update, all that in weekly with no testing. Yes deep before was unbalanced but at least before you could had blamed yourself for not playing better. Now whoever got the newest build from the latest weekly wins. Also deep lost it's vibes.

I wouldn’t mind weeklies if they added content actually worth playing for, like you say most of the content is just slop, and is artificially increasing player count, and look where it is taking us now. No conquest, dying player base, and I know when conquest drops it’ll rise, but it may go back down if they take a year again for an update

Wow guys, who knew that when working on a big update, you have to cut down on development time on other things, leading to less content for weeklies.

I disagree, i think they should stick to weekly balance changes but keep the content updates to biweekly, hell, i would be fine with monthly updates too because deep devs have shown to be consistent with updates and not delay. Ever since i stopped playing deepwoken regularly i genuinely forget about the weekly update most of the time, and when i do remember to check it out its almost always just boring and barely makes me want to get back on, so a bigger update with a bunch of content to look forward to would definitely be better

Biweekly updates wouldn't lead to more content at all. It'd be a normal weekly with the extra week used to work on conquest. You're just getting a normal weekly but half as often. Also, you can't expect weeklies to always interest everyone. Sometimes it's a Frost Update (people with frost builds), sometimes PvE (pve enjoyers), sometimes PvP (chime sweats) , sometimes Flame (flame builds), sometimes Relics (boss farm enjoyers). Expecting weeklies catered to you is kinda selfish considering you're one of tens of thousands who play the game and they're genuinely a lot of them who still check in every week and actually play with whatever was added. The weeklies are mid cuz they're focusing on Conquest. People only started complaining about weeklies recently. 6 months ago when weeklies were bangers, nobody complained. This is just the "doomer arc" of the game where the playerbase can do nothing but complain without thinking about why the thing they're complaining about is like it is. I doubt it'll go away until Conquest is released.

No it wouldn't. Weekly updates lead to much more steady player counts than Biweekly or Monthly updates. Also, all the kids would complain about the game being dry and having to deallwith the same broken builds for an entire month. Type Soul is the main factor of why Deep lost players, sure the playerbase was already declining, but it'd be way higher if Type Soul wasn't here. The problem was never weeklies, it's the devs themselves.

Ppl are out here defending the devs while they added the pyre keeper, a weapon with one of the worst drop requirements and also unbalanced af. Nah sry man, I can’t give credits to the devs hard work, cuz its just dogshit unbalanced nonsense now. The loop I was in was : farm for the weap, make a semi correct build, wait for the update and repeat. At some point the game just becomes more and more unbalanced cuz content =/= good content. Conquest will be a mess

@@Sc5ch if it was the only problem I wouldn't really care, but maybe I left cuz every weekly introduces weapons or mantras that don't fit the game/aren't balanced properly. And if I'm saying conquest will be a mess it isn't cuz I don't like conquest, it's just that pvp is in the worst state possible and the devs don't even care. Like I said in the past, great game but bad updates
