My 22 F450 came with these and never thought Id ever use them but they've come in handy a couple times. Also, that little led on the rear of the tailgate (docking light?) surprisingly helps a ton hitching up to a tag a long trailer!

WOW .. finally something for us STX folks. Been waiting for this since I purchased my 2020 F350 STX dually. Bought the truck last dec and was the only dually on the lot so no choices. Was missing the LED Bed Light kit. Order placed with Limitless and can’t wait to get this installed. I have the Forescan dongle but never used it so may need a hand in the programming part. Great job!

Easy install on a 2020 STX dually. From opening the box, about 25 mins total install of the parts, dropping spare and routing cables. Newbee to ForScan and took extra care, double check everything .. programming took be about 10mins. (was nervous as chit). One word of caution though, find a large, heavy gauge paperclip to remove those 2 black plastic plugs ARod pointed out. I used a Jewelers Phillip screw driver (like you use for glasses) I had issues, must have damaged the back. Issue manifested itself where I couldn’t push that “white” guide back in properly and couldn’t get the plug to the truck connector to “snap” back on. Ended up trimming about 1/8th of an inch off the fins .. and it all worked out. That original grey and white/red wires (pins 2 and 12). are connected to two of the brake lights. You’ll get a “fast blinker” if that bumper harness connector doesn’t “click” back properly.

Awsome I just got my truck Saturday and no bedside lights I am definitely going to buy this !!! Thanks for the video

Man, I wish this was around a year ago. My truck did not come with bed lights from the factory. So I had to piece together a bunch of parts and make my own harness. It works just fine but this would've saved time and effort.

Great install, as always!!!! Who's crying about the price??? We spend 80 grand for our rigs, more too- don't cheap out now boys!!!!!!

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod True. Anyone can run wire all the to the cab and find 12 volts, or tap into a harness somewhere. But that is trashy. I like to keep it as factory as possible.

That is a really well made harness - I don't understand why it has two ground connections, though. I would think it would only need pin 4 from the harness since it already has ground from the bolt by the spare tire.

Please consider a factory power running board install. Yes I understand I could get the AMP steps but I think the factory boards are a much cleaner look. Plus you can enable the function option with FORScan. Thank you!

I understand a person would need to add a few items behind the rear seat and do a little creative wiring but if anyone can present a step by step video with a complete parts listing you can, please think about it. Have a great evening!

Bed lights are awesome! My platinum came with them, I am impressed with the output. Still would rather have had a Lariat, but with today's availabilities take what you can get. Luckily my 2020 hasn't been part of any recalls, especially the axle recall. Good video!

Thanks for the video! Very close to pulling the trigger, do these tie in with the bed light button in the cab as well? So you can use the bed button switch or the cab bed light switch?

This is a great video Thanks! I have a 2019 f150 XLT but my wiring seems a little bit different, I have a button on the dash for Bed lights, and pin 11 is occupied for me. Would this method work for me? especially will the lights work with any of the switches? Thanks again !!

My truck came with them already. Yes, you can still get to the switch & you see the lights just fine

Not sure if it matters but you changed 72-01 instead of 71-01. Sweet install though, love lights..

I checked the comments just to see if anyone else saw this. I was worried for a minute it might mess something up but luckily it was recorded so easy to correct. It should also be noted for everyone to learn that you should backup every as-built before making changes and have it saved in multiple places so you can’t lose it. Without proper backup you may be unable to correct an issue or mistake and the downloadable from Ford as-builts may not work since they are NOT guaranteed to be the same as what was there originally and could include the error or mistake that caused the issue.

I bought a f350 super duty 2022 and had the double alternator installed but did no know you had to ask for pro power aboard and only have 4Kw in the cab i would like to 7.2 in the back and program it for Pro power aboard - is this possible

I noticed there was programming require for the 20-22. I have a 17. is there programming required there as well?

I went to the Limitless website to ask a question about this but there is no way to email them. If I got this kit and just ran a wire from the battery (fused) to the back, could I connect this harness to that (and ground it) and have these lights operate without having to do the forscan changes? I already have the wire run to the the back for this purpose but was going to go in another direction with bed lights until I saw this. Thanks for your videos - I have a 2020 F250 and had a 2005 6.0.

There is NO harness that ford sells. You will need all the parts listed in this video. Forscan works on all Ford vehicles.....

Is there a way to add led strip lights to the under cab above the running boards on a 2022. My 17 had a powered when door was open harness female end on the frame rail right below the rear doors.

The wire hardness..Yellow and white pins go into the female plug. You mention one is ground and the other is power. Why would wire need ground wires again since there are already ground wires to the bolt's driver side?

I watched a video where some kids did it to an alumiduty but they had to take down the roof fabric and the A pillar and run through a whole bunch of the engine compartment. They harvested the switches I think... it was a lot of work

Imagine being the onwer, the fab'er, the book keeper, the janitor....i know you know what im talking about. Im standing up for my man because that him & his work, in my eyes doesn't need a phone number. I know both the shop & his personal phone are in existence. He has other avenues in which people reach out. Social media is bar far the biggest. I would highly invite you to explore those other options because I can ASSURE you, you will NOT be disappointed. I wish I could help ya with a number but cmon you know I can do that. I drove 9 hrs twice to have him work on my rig & you already see what the heck I do. I wish ya luck my friend
