You really said something. The temptation to “keep up” is everywhere. There are so many different lifestyles and ways to live out there. And honestly what works for us in this season of life may not work in the next and that’s okay. Putting ourselves in a box will only make us miserable in the long run. Kelly there’s nothing to be ashamed of as you’ve experimented and you’re still learning what you like and how you wanna live. Honestly it’ll probably change in the next 10 years. I love how you take life in strides! Keep that open mind. You’ll learn what to hold on to and what to get rid of.

Thanks for this Kelly. I've been reading this book called "The Power of Now" and it's really helped me realize that literally nothing matters except for the present moment. Being intentional with the things you do throughout the day is really what life is about!

Black and white thinking and clinging to certain identities are symptoms of youth. Everyone i know has gone through a similar stage in their early 20s, most people grow put of it and eventually come into their own true selves by their 30s.

Yes!! I'm totally supporting this idea. I'm drowning in this materialistic, splurge-ous lifestyle that I learned from social media. It's suffocating. I don't even enjoy this. Your video is my sign to actually slow tf down, take a moment, and live my life simpler. ❤️

Wow. No joke, I literally was down on myself because I was comparing myself to my friend who is doing the exact opposite of this video: living a fast pace lifestyle. I felt bad for myself because I felt like I was a failure compared to her because I wasn’t taking part of doing multiple things at once. So I will definitely take my time now. Thank you Kelly. omg i relate so much, i think life is such a personal thing that comparing ours to someone else's will never make sense ever!! hopefully you feel better about the way YOU live YOUR life bestie, you can't fail at living trust me!

Never thought i would want a Suburban Texan Dad summer. But i do now.

These different “aesthetic lifestyle” trends looks so visually appealing, but they require you to become so rigid to your life looking that specific way, and there is no room for branching out. And peoples anxiety increases as they focus more and more on adhering to the trend, that they aren’t consciously considering whether the lifestyle is benefiting them. Live life intuitively. “Does this make me feel good?” Is a great question to start with. “Am I doing this for me, or to feel part of something?” Is another question worth asking.

I appreciate the humbleness of now living in a big house, but continuing to talk into a spatula.

the thing with aesthetics is so true, like people are way too complex to fit into one single aesthetic. it irks me when people try and apply movie tropes to real people lmao

SC has warped people's perspective of life. we all want an escape from life but you said something interesting. we start to compare ourselves to perfect images but we never see the BTS of these lifestyles and photos that we think something is wrong with us when we are not perfect. Individualism > Your fav aesthetic. Aesthetic are for mood boards and art not life. Life has no aesthetic because it is ever changing. I'm glad you spoke about this
