On my rope bowl, can you end it without the bump?
What quilt is in the video?

Should I use starch?
To steam or not to steam?

Just Get it Do
Coming from Australia I now understand your accent. I find your videos easy to follow and lightly amusing. Great work.
I enjoy your videos- i feel you are "talking" to me when you answer questions and common sense and your xperience are understood and fun. Like it when you are outside with the dog and feel so easy to listen your q's&a's- really normal speaking Thanks, Karen Brown, i listen to your videosall the time and you are my favorite quilter's explanations
I am so happy to have found a Canadian site. I have learned so much from you. I’m 74 and live in New Brunswick 🇨🇦
I actually love that you go outside walking while talking about quilting. It’s part of what makes your channel so fun and interesting. 😁
I am watching from arid Arizona and I really enjoy the glimpses of the Canadian landscape.
Love your videos, your walks, your dog, 🐶 and especially the way you explain or teach things! So easy to listen to. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
I wanted to mention something about starch. When I was a teenager, (many many moons ago), I made money by ironing work clothes for my dad and his work mates. The more starch the better. This is why. My dad was a welder. (so were my brothers and now my son). Welding sparks will drop off a heavily starched denim. Instead of burning the clothing and the wearers skin underneath. Welders catch themselves on fire all the time. Now I starch my sons shirts and the thighs of his jeans. It is a job that no longer pays, but wow did I make the bucks back then!..lol
I'm new here and binge watching your videos. Just wanted to say I've already learned so much!!!
Would love to learn about a bullet journal. Thank you!
I like Soak Flatter Smoothing Spray. Smooths, makes the fabric smell great but doesn't make hand quilting difficult.
YES PLEASE, for the bullet journal tutorial! Also Anthony Moscato's wife, Lilly posted "chronic beginner" and I LOVE that! My home was like an alien planet when we sold it! So MANY UFO's, sewing, knitting, crewel, embroidery, watercolor!! Now that I am on the road with my husband for his work, and we move every few months, I have to choose projects carefully and FINISH them! Altho....
I'd love to see a bullet journal for quilting! Love your videos!
I wish more bloggers did Q&A like this. Thanks for your time and wonderful information.
I love how personable you are. You are kind, honest and educational. Thank for the information. Looking forward to your next video!
I'm definitely interested in the Bullet journal video!
I just love your videos, you are so very real and make me smile! Keep up the great work!💕
Busy busy Bee 🐝 🤩💫❣️ So that’s what a clapper is for 😁 thank you for real I never heard of one and my grandmothers were avid Quilter’s 💖💫✨❣️ a tailors clapper ❤️

They work really well on suiting fabric
That was fun and I have to think it took you WAY less time to answer all those questions verbally on a video than typing answers to each one on the various topics. I didn't think it was too long, PLUS - I saw some tips that I probably would have missed had you just posted the answer to the specific person who asked. Thank you, busy lady. Let's do it again sometime!
Love, love, love your video. I definitely didn’t get frustrated while watching. I have been sewing for 60 years.
I loved the idea about the masking tape and the hint for the runaway foot pedal that you had on a different video. Thanks girl. Barb
I absolutely LOVE your personality as well as your wisdom, of course. Who said, "Nothing in the world is free!" ? Hah!
Best sewing channel on KZread!!!! Thank you for all you do.

Thank you for the commebt on pressing seams either open or to the side It is the first time it has really made sense to me and I thank you very much I believe now I will be pressing my things to the side thank you ever so much
You're a fantastic (quilter) woman...I watching you channel and is fabulous... Thanks you.
My Mother left me the " block" of oak and I had no clue what it was. Thank you for explaining...
Please do a pre-quilt video. I am having trouble seeing the benefits but I know I must be missing something. As always -love your videos. Take care.
I love how you make your videos, especially as you are walking your dog; braving the elements! It's a refreshing change from being behind a sewing machine.
Where have you been the last 2 years I’ve been “quilting”? Hahahahaha. You are fabulous! I love your short, get to the point, and move on videos. I have to go now. I’ve got to binge watch ALL of your previous videos.
Thank you for another great video. I like the dogs, they are a part of your life just as quilting is a part of your life, of course they should be included.
I enjoyed this video. Great tips. I'm so glad I found you! Thank you-
How very sympathetic you are! And I love how much knowledge you stuff into your videos with ease and charm! Thank you so much!
Hi Karen, yes I would be interested in a bullet journal case tutorial please
Love you videos. Keep them coming.
Hurray for multi-tasking! I enjoy seeing the places where you walk your dog while taping. Thanks for the great tips.
You are a great teacher...and FUN! Love your style. I will start ironing the right way now, thanks to you....

Karen, I thought I’ve seen all your videos but I missed this one. I look forward to seeing each one and am amazed at your professionalism. Good wishes to your son in his recovery.
I have an Artista 180 but kept my 910 that I purchased in my mid-thirties. It is perfect for guild projects.
SincereThank You! Love your videos. I’d love a video on a trip in your fabric stash as you select fabric for a project! Sew much, sew happy!
Tell me about your doggy !! Such a beautiful pup !

I love bullet journaling...would love to see quilting integrated....I also love using fat quarters in my quilts...could u do more videos using fat quarters in quilt top designs...thanks
Great Q & A! Would love to see a video about how you handle your stash and scraps!
Great video! I enjoy all your videos but my favorites are the economy block and churn dash. Please consider doing more quilt block videos as I learn so much and am inspired to try new things. Thank you!
Ohh yes! I'd love a bullet journal, too! Thanks so much for teaching us!!!
Karen, I’d love to see future videos on 1) how you organize your fabric stash and 2) prequilt.com. Thanks for your wonderful videos!
Your videos are perfect - well made, clear and informative. Please keep making them!
Thank you for your videos, they are helping me gain confidence to actually finish my first quilt. I cut the fabric over a year ago and then life got in the way.
I discovered your videos today. I am so glad to finally have someone from Canada to follow. Thank you for all the great tips.

1. I just adore your videos! I love the walks, I love how the little clips are all edited together, I love how candid you are, and I really love the humor! 2. I'm a brand new quilter. Actually, I'm an 'I'm-Never-Going-To-Quilt' (very) casual intermittent sewer and I've just started my first quilt. I'm really grateful for all the tips you've shared and that you've made it seem so fun and doable. When it comes to crafting, I hate patterns, rules, tedious tasks, and I get bored very easily, so who knows if I'll ever "be a quilter" (I'm pretty sure quilting relies heavily on all my weaknesses), but you've sure helped make it very appealing! Thanks so much! I hope you'll keep making videos!

It does take time. Just approach it in small batches. You are allowed to work on many things at once...which helps keep me interested.
I have that iron! 😄 I'm not new at sewing or quilting, but am a chronic beginner...😂 Yes, please do an instructional video on making a bullet journal/planner. (I must still have self-esteem issues and am afraid to make mistakes...) I want to have better focus on my quilting projects. I'm getting old and don't want to waste any more time.😉 Lilly, Anthony's wife.

Lily I'm 65 and made my first quilt a month ago. I used scraps from other orojects, bits of this and that and it was only pram (stroller) sized and far from perfect. But the mum to be loved it and l had loads of fun making it so throw caution to the wind and just go for it. Who knows how long we have left anyway?

Chronic BEGINNER! Priceless phrase!
Yes please! Please make a cideo for the bullet journal cover! :)
I would love to see someone demonstrate how to sew together clamshell blocks
just found you, and really enjoy your pleasant Canadian voice... Too many others blather on and on and have (too my ears) irritating, irritating voices, and they take forever to do a simple task... thank you...Some good tips... i will add mine - i use a fold up clothes dryer, the old fashioned kind, to drape my jelly roll strips on. I pin each strip so it doesn't slip off, but i plan on picking up pool noodles, splitting them, and putting them on the bars or It has also been suggested to put small townels on the rod to avoid slipping..
I love your videos. Don’t know what a bullet journal is.

Thanks so much for your very informative videos. I’ve learned so much from them. Looking forward to the bullet journal and all your future videos. Again thank you.
You are a great conversationalist. Enjoy hearing your thoughts and experiences on quilting.
I really enjoyed watching your Q & A video. I would love to see you do a video on both bullet journalling as well as how you constructed your bullet journal case. Thanks!

I adore your videos!
I am from Northern Ontario. Great informative videos. Can't wait to see more of them!!
So glad to see you back. Thank you for another fun video. I'd like to see how you organize your fabric stash. And the bullet journal. I haven't used a journal yet because it seems daunting. Just sewing and working takes up my time. (My 30 yr old daughter lives with us and I love it! After having 4 kids, it's fun to have some 1-on-1 time. In these economic times, it's important to help our kids along.)
Bullet journal video please!

Yes, please....I would love to see you do a video on a bullet journal. Thank you.
Thanks for another fun, friendly and informative Q&A, from me here in Kent, UK.
Love your videos. As I "stick with you," my quilting technique is getting even better. I re-watched your ironing technique video, just before I grabbed my iron on my last project and WOW, what GREAT results!!! Thank you!
Thoroughly enjoy your videos. One of my fav's
Just saying ....your brilliant and you have given me much needed pep to get my stuff done!
You are just delightful!

Loved your Q & A! I learned how to sew from my Mom ages ago but just getting back into it with quilts now. If you ever need to take a short break and chill with your husband and son I recommend Snakes & Lattes in Toronto. They have 3 cafe's there and are so much fun! Bloor St, College St, or the larger one Midtown on Eglington!
Love Love Love your videos. Yes would still love to see your technique on using a bullet journal. Glad you had a great time in Nashville.
i love your vlogs so glad if found you ;-)
Would love to see your take on bullet journaling!!
Hi Karen! I just recently discovered your videos and so glad I did! I’ve learned so many practical tips regarding quilting, budgeting and traveling to quilt shows. As an added bonus I find your voice and demeanor so calming!! Looking forward to many more videos from you. Would love to see how you organize your scraps and then how you use them. My scraps look like boxes of trash and I have no idea where to begin to put them together to make something pleasing. Also, a question: does your business (day job) with your husband have anything to do with quilting? Just curious how you might fit everything in!! Thanks for reading all of this! Best regards from RI, MaryAnn

Thanks for watching. My day job has zero to do with my quilting...I wish it did. Scrape video is coming.
I love Toronto! I lived there for a year in 1987 while performing in the "An Evening at LaCage" show downtown. Lovely city.
Love your videos, thanks for sharing all of this information about our craft as well as your personal life....keep them coming....
Love your videos. I spray baste too! And I don’t pre-wash my fabric either! Your explanation of why not to open seams is a first for me and makes good sense. I use the same roller instead of fingers/finger nails because the roller presses without pulling. On the bias, that’s key. And if I use my finger tips, I invariably pull a little. Thank you for great videos, from Colorado!
Oh wow. I’ve just learned that you lived in NZ! I live in Tauranga. I love your videos. So many helpful tips. I would love to hear how you organise and use your leftover scraps of fabric.
Painters tape is masking tape in Australia :)
These are so helpful! Thank you for giving your time!
I love your videos and your positivity. Thank you!!

I lived in Toronto until I was 19. I moved to Ottawa for university. I have lived in a few other places in Ontario (Trenton, Whitby) but home to me is Ottawa.
You are an amazing lady. Your videos are easy to watch, love your sense of humour. Am learning so many tips. I have taught myself, so all these tips are making my life so much better. I am also interested in the bullet journal and case. I would also like to know if you quilt-as-you-go. I’m interested in learning but a lot of the videos get me confused. I think you’re a wonderful teacher and could explain this so as we can understand, maybe actual do a guilt together. Thank you
Love the q and a. Thank you.
Really enjoy your videos. As a new quilter, your videos have taught me a lot. I especially enjoyed your videos on color. How about a video on how to design quilts? I don't want to make quilts like everyone else. How does one begin?
