Your Passport Does Not Guarantee Success | Wali Khan

Passport and Citizenship can make or break your life - however, just because that you are having a third grade passport does not mean you cannot excel in life and create amazing opportunities for yourself and people around you! In this uncut video, I discussed the same!

    Passports make a big difference in modern world. Just by having passport of a certain country allows you to work in other countries. Likewise certain passports will restrict your freedom and opportunities.

    When starting out your career with no inherited wealth, as a Pakistani I would wish for a better passport for sure. But I agree once I have multiple sources of income and reach a certain income threshold, my passport may not matter as much (Although I would still love to have a secondary passport to make traveling across the world easier) At the age of 33, I am working hard to create multiple streams of income so I can retire with an ease of mind.

    Very nice podcast. I also listen to Nomad Capatilist and i live in one of the western countries with a blue passport. Its a combination of both passpost and money. Once you get your passport, and once you reach a high bracket 40-50% tax on combined taxable income, there is no reason to live there. Migrate using your passport which sometimes can expedite the process of getting a PR or a golden permit or card, and use your passive income to sustain. You can do a stress-free less burdening job also to be in touch with your skillset too.

    Great points Wali bhai .. it depends on every person's individual situation. In UAE it does not matter anymore what passport you have when it comes to earning money which is amazing. Some points I may add: - College and university education in UAE is really not that good compared to UK - A lot of people dont want their children to experience the same setbacks when traveling and hence make the decision to get another passport - If you lose your job in the UK your children still can continue to get education for free but in the UAE it depends on your cash flow But like you said it depends on each person's situation. Keep making great practical videos like this

    Fully agree with you Wali bhai! 💯 I recently decided to make the move from Germany to Dubai after having lived there for ~5 years. I could have waited for some more time to get citizenship but it wasn't worth the opportunity cost for me (taxes, culture, etc.). I do agree that getting a better passport makes sense but IMHO it's generally a bad idea to get a passport by naturalization (spending 5+ years in a country which doesn't align with your culture, language, etc.).

    Sure! I didn't want to raise my kids in a woke/far-left environment. Also I would like to teach my kids Islamic ideals. I guess it's a subjective matter and you could argue that Dubai isn't Islamic either but at least in Dubai you have a choice. Beg to differ. A passport is not merely a tool for securing a better job; it fundamentally impacts your entire life. For example, Pakistani passport holders often face significant delays and rejections when applying for a visit visa to the UAE. You never know when they get banned completely. Moreover, a passport signifies a country's commitment to its citizens during crises. During the pandemic, countries like Canada reached out to their citizens and permanent residents abroad, ensuring their safety, providing financial assistance, and facilitating their return when commercial flights were unavailable. Having lived in the UAE for over a decade, I understand that many people there often equate a passport with financial gain. However, there is much more to a passport than a fancy job or building wealth.

    One of the major benefits of immigaration to Canada/US etc which nobody is mentioning here is the access to higher education for the kids at fraction of the cost! At th university level, International students have to pay much higher than citizens. So as everyone here is talking about ease of travel, MAYBE securing a higher paying job in Middle East on the basis of passport,, these are all temporary benefits but the eventual benefit is the higher education for kids at a much lesser cost than spending your life earning in Middle East n then eventually sending the kids as international students and paying hefty tuition fees n all expenses. Thats primarily the reason people want citizenship in these countries so their kids can have access to western education apart from ease of travel n other benefits which can still be acquired. So saying that if you have multiple streams of passive income, it wont bother you as much (cz you can cover it with money as per Wali Khan) if you don’t have second passport is in my opinion a shortsighted approach cz eventually the kids will be sent as international students(at a hefty cost)n they will have to start that struggle to get citizenship! Thats why I think people are very eager to move for their future generations than just better opportunities for themselves only!

  • @aishafardan6286

    @aishafardan6286

    29 күн бұрын

    So basically considering the world order right now, most people believe that they see that struggle now so their kids can have a better future as they don’t see any future for their kids in Pakistan. N specially people in Middle East def don’t see their kids future in Pakistan which is realistic as those kids have never lived in Pakistan with third world problems!

    Well, I would disagree a little bit. First of all, it is not everyone plays to build passive income or to have an agency or build a business enough that can give you 5 to 10K thousand conservatively speaking per month. If you are making that load of money then yes, a passport does not make sense. If we take a sample size of the whole population then I think we see 1-2 % cases that have this ability to earn dollars and that too in huge chunks while sitting in Pakistan. The rest of the population is suffering. I have witnessed many opportunities alone in the USA which you only get if you have a green card, if you are mediocre in your field then a Passport plays a role in your life. We can debate that you must be The Best in your field but again it is not everyone's cup of tea.
