I have a 65 year old patient who puts on tinted moisturiser, blush and lipstick every. Single. Day. Whenever I visit her she has on a lovely silk scarf even if she has nowhere to go. She was admitted to hospital with a fractured hip bone and still asked nurses to bring her tinted moisturiser, blush and lipstick. And get this: the other older female patients were giving her dirty looks and asking why she was making herself look nice!! The cherry on top of the cake is that it turns out my 65 year old patient is actually 83! #thereisnoexcuse

I've been working on myself this past year and working on my femininity big time. I made it a point to wear dresses this summer since I've been slimming down. I've chosen dresses that are flowing when I walk during the day & wrap dresses for date nights (I'm normally in jeans). My husband has taken notice big time. This summer all he talks about is how good I look. I haven't had this much consistent praise since before I had my daughter. Yes, I fell off & put myself last when I became a mom. But I'm heading back to natural feminine self. Ladies don't neglect yourself and/or your looks.

@@Glad2BGolden My husband has always been a provider. And I've always been feminine in my mannerisms & style but fell off for a few years. But he's been more aware of my physical looks and tells me to go shopping, get my nails done, etc. He's more physical too like random kisses, caressing my body, & hugs. He takes me out more, such as lunch & dinners. He was beaming with pride when we went on vacation. Men & women complimented him on how beautiful I am, how good of a couple we looked, & how he got a 10. I know it stroked his ego a lot even though he's not that type of man he's still a man. I hope that helped answer your question 😊.

I focus on what I like and what looks good on my body, not on trends. Also focus on snatching the waistline. I like to add a belt or have the tie string hit the smallest part of my waist. This really helps accentuate your waist/hip ratio. If you can spend more money check out independent designers like shopfksp.com. She has beautiful feminine pieces that are timeless. I hope that helped.

My husband loves to take me everywhere and loves taking pictures of us and posting them on his Facebook and Instagram. He loves watching me exercise, he loves watching me get ready to go out, and the feeling is mutual. If we go to the mall and out to eat he loves buying me clothes and when I watch him play basketball, dedicates shots to me :) We' ve been married 10 years and we're both 38 and in great shape. My husband works very hard as and I am fortunate and able to stay home and raise our children in comfort. It's a pleasure for me to look good for myself and him, it's a pleasure to home cook his favorite meals, keep a clean house, raise our children together and just be best friends. Looks show both of us that we value and want to keep the admiration going for us both. I tease him and say that if we're going to be together for as long as the good Lord allows, we damn sure better be easy on the eyes.

After college I lived in NYC I had the opportunity to intern at a ritzy PR Firm on 5th Avenue. It was an opportunity brought to me by a friend that worked in the industry. So the owner of the business -a woman -had no idea prior to our interview what I looked like. I was eager to show off my portfolio and what qualified me for the job. Immediately after five minutes of conversation with this female business owner it was clear that she was less interested in my credentials and more interested in what I looked like. She kept making comments about how beautiful I was and what beauty products I used. I had never had this type of commentary during a job interview. It caught me off guard but I needed the money and the experience turned out to be great. What I learned is that in some spaces no matter how smart or qualified you may be it could just come down to how you look and how the powers that be see you aesthetically add to their business. Annoying but hard to ignore

You shouldn't be annoyed. You have assets and you should bet on them. Now you're at your prime (biologically) so don't hesitate to value your charms to get your way to the top (I'm definitely not saying that you can sleep around, that's not what I mean by using oneself's charms). Meanwhile, get this tremendous résumé (CV) worked on and by the time you'll be in a very high position, you can look back and see that your credentials were used well . Never play down, always play up and don't feel guilt because you're chosen because you were the prettiest. People receive thousands of résumés, the last choice is always based on your personality, it's common knowledge in HR.. people who did well in an interview, pleased the jury/ HR and other managers with their soft skills, how well spoken, agreeble yet assertive, hungry for work and success... You might not be the prettiest but the way you hold yourself is very attractive.

I didn't care because it was comfortable and all of my friends were doing it as well. But now that I think of it, it was mostly the black girls that wore them (there were a few Hispanic girls too). Now you can't even catch me wearing those kind of shorts even in my own home.

Thank you Chloe for speaking truth into my life. I’m a beautiful black woman who used to believe the negative programming that black women get on the daily. I made the mistake of marrying a Mexican dusty and had 3 kids by him. He’s not the provider type. Then, when I finally got my own money, he discouraged me from getting my hair done and shopping at Sephora. It’s so hard shaking that dust off, especially when u have kids w/ a no ambition man. Hopefully one day I will come out of this better. I’m loving this journey I’m on back to loving myself, appreciating my femininity and really reprogramming my brain to be a receiver and the ultimate prize. Plus my children need to see their mom happy...body, mind, and spirit...Thank you!

When he wanted us to move in together and go 50\50, I left. A year later I've lost 40pds, working in my purpose, and shop. My ex that finally started getting notoriety and picking up in his business. Did not look back at me. His new woman (I'm not a hater lol) is beautiful, seems feminine, and a business owner. I'm a 50 year old who has struggled with my weight for 30 years. I'm making positive changes in my life such as eating a healthier diet, going to the gym and buying perfumes, makeup, clothes etc. I'm planning on getting a tummy tuck once I hit my wt loss goal. When I discussed it with my boyfriend he was pretty much silent, not showing any emotion about it one way or another. At first it took the wind out of my sails but listening to this channel has definitely lifted my spirits. I don't need his validation or permission to do what I know what will be best for me. Men gets use to women being a certain way whether it's being overweight, low self esteem, low confidence etc and when women change that dynamic they feel threatened. They know that once you elevate yourself they will have to do the same. Like I said, if you don't support me during my glow up you'll be left in the background.

I completely agree, looks DO matter, ladies! But, I confess that I've been treated like a lady when I was dressed down and dressed to the nine. I say that because while looks do absolutely matter, I believe that being treated like a feminine woman is about radiating the energy, too. Chloe touched on that topic as well, oh so eloquently. Femininity is an energy, an aura, a vibe - not just a look. I've had doors opened for me and men have paid for me even when I was dressed in leggings, knee high boots and a T-shirt just as often as when I was dressed in heels, skirts and wearing make-up. The point: if we are going to look feminine, we must BE feminine, too. Love you all! 💞

I’m glad you found you a man who is a generous provider, I just hope you don’t allow yourself to be put in dangerous situations where a man uses his status to manipulate and hurt you. As you see now with all the recent allegations going on, rich men are powerful and can get away with abuse easily. Just stay safe is all I’m saying.

Chloe is entirely right. This information is actually golden to getting what you want. Your mindset has not leveled up if you believe that "oh, she's trying to make black women do the most for a man" "why aren't men putting just as much effort." LADIES, YOUR LOOKS ARE A WEAPON! I attract all types of men (especially high value) because of my looks. When I realized that my college degrees & job meant nothing to men, only my looks, I used that as a weapon to get what I WANT, NOT please men.

Yes I fully agree. Every woman in my family steps out of the house looking put together even my 73 year old grandmother. How can a woman want an attractive man if the woman is looking busted. You become what you want to attract. Good men can have their pick of women and he is not going to choose someone that looks like they just don’t care about what they look like. Honestly I keep up with my appearance for me. Taking care of yourself is just something you should want to do. It’s your body . You wouldn’t show up to a job interview looking any kind of way so....

My ex-boyfriend always would pick a fight with me whenever I had regular clothes and make up on. Somehow convinced me that putting on extra pounds was sexy. Even my mother told me not to continue to keep coming out the house like that. Until one day he actually did cheat and trade me in for a younger worse looking woman twice my weight, less education, no ambition, drama queen. Goes to show how many inches of dust he was worth in the end. Now I'm living my best life and he did me a huge favor. Lesson learned, never downgrade or water down your ambitions. Even this man felt threatened by me and saw my my own worth more than I did.

I make sure I put extra effort to look good for him when we do go out on dates. Men are definitely visual creatures. I used to be a "looks don't matter" type of woman but when I started to take care of my appearance that's when men would approach me. 😊

It's funny how these dusty men will lust after high maintenance women, be angry that they can't have those women because they can't afford them; so they engineer a low or NO maintenance mindset in another woman who exudes desperate dust-bunny energy just so he can have a woman he can afford, and then get angry at that no maintenance woman he created because she's not the high maintenance woman he wanted in the first place. Make it make sense. Ladies, if a man tries to convince to not wear makeup or have nice things, run as fast and as far as you can

Right. I completely agree. I don't know why humans, particularly many women like to refute this and behave as if we're so super intelligent that we don't posses the instinctual patterns of behavior that all mammals on earth possess in one iteration or another in courting and mating. I totally understand the importance of respect and the intolerance of being disrespected because of appearance. That goes without saying. However, let it be a reminder that the way in which humans behave, choose and how we aspire for what we want to attain is very similar to the mammalian instincts and social intelligence of other living, breathing and walking species. Women, your beauty does not have to be the center of your soul. That is not what this eloquent woman promotes. Yes, intelligence and intrinsic qualities are gold. However, remember and know that your beauty is YOURS to possess and for men to observe. So have it (your beauty), recognize it, wear it, use it, embrace it, esteem it, adorn yourself with your birth given beauty and most importantly, get what you want in life without doing what you don't what to do.

I went out to a happy hour by myself today to the nicest steakhouse in town and I looked amazing. Seriously. I’ve been testing the waters by myself to try different looks and what I notice is that when you are a black woman and you show up to a place looking amazing head to toe, you really turn heads. The way that men respond to you when you are fully feminine is night and day. So many black women walk around looking bummy and it’s crazy. Where I live it is rare that I will see a black woman in a dress and I work in the financial district. They will have slacks on or something, but it’s like they don’t feel comfortable wearing dresses or choosing a more feminine outfit. Or their hair is not done. Theyll have a decent outfit on but they’ll skip out on something, they’ll have horrible nails and feet or a bad wig on. And ladies You HAVE to work out. It is unavoidable. If you are dressed to the nines but you are overweight you’re not going to get the results with men that you want. Periodt. Black women are still avoiding the gym like the plague. They think their outfit will make up for them being overweight and it doesn’t. Black women do not understand how much an advantage we truly have when we are height and weight proportionate and looking our best. We turn heads! Do not let these male bullies on KZread think otherwise because in REAL LIFE in places where men with money ACTUALLY ARE, they are not relevant 😂😂😂😂 And you are right, black women need to stop taking everything personally and do what i strategic to win in the dating game. If you know men respond to a certain thing, then do that thing and take your feelings out of it!

This is true. But I realized in the black community so many black women are dealing with emotional issues, trauma from their past, being the head of the household financially & are stressed. All of those things is why some black women put themselves last and are not being their best selves. Once the emotional work is done, you can work on your physical appearance & look your best

Femininity is an ENERGY. Women are so focused on looking like they got it instead of actually having feminine energy. Nothing against makeup weave lashes and everything else fake but make sure your real face underneath is taken care of. Make sure you look appealing BOTH with and without makeup. Make sure you taking care of your real hair underneath the wigs. Make sure your real eyelashes are not missing because the fake ones are ripping them off. Make sure your real nails are healthy underneath the fake ones. Make sure your real body is in shape instead of adding and enhancing so much etc. If more women spent more time taking care of the real them instead of putting on so much fake to look real then maybe that femininity you speak of will organically attract itself to you. Yes men are attracted by what they see but they are also tired of women catfishing them. You look like a model with all that stuff on but when you take it off and show the REAL YOU it's so unkept and unattractive. Since when who you truly are is no longer enough? Since when as women is it okay to add fake on top of real? To each his own but I'll rather work on what God has blessed me with and fix up on the real me without having to look like someone else to get men to notice me. OAN: please remember that at night when you take all of that stuff off and look into the mirror what reflection do you see? That same plain Jane regular looking women you criticize is now looking back at you. Be humble!

This is so true! This very concept had me start a boutique that's all about femininity and being a lady. No THOT wear, just classy, girly & flirty. We have lost the art of being a Lady and have not embraced our girly side. Like the song says, 🎶I LOVE being a girl🎶 ...and being confident in it too. When I wear dresses and red lipstick I notice my husband looks at me with a sparkle in his eyes. He acts like he doesn't care about those things but his actions say something else. I am a very spoiled and very blessed woman. My husband is VERY good to me in ALL ways so I make it priority to be well groomed from the inside out. Don't let yourself go sisters once you get him. Keep up your appearance and grooming. He notices the mani-pedi, the white teeth even the new hair style (wig, weave, whatever). Keep it cute😘

I’m not sure what to make of this. It’s just sad to know that men and women can’t truly love each other and keep their families together. It’s disheartening to believe that once you are not perfectly pleasing to them they will cheat on you or leave you. Interesting 🤔a man who stood at the alter and made vows in front of many witnesses. A man who watched your belly grow with his children. A man who helped you bury your parent. The one you gave your all to is weak enough to throw it all away on some ass? Someone who is deemed a reflection of himself? Wow!! Just sad.
