i watched this anime a year ago but this year, I also rewatched it and everytime I watch the ending scene from the series or youtube, I always cry my eyes out. I miss Kaori!!! She made her dream come true. She finally did a duet with Kousei! It's just so sad that they only got to do a duet 2× but the most saddest part is that she died and didn't even knew that Kousei loves her 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Kaori definitely knew that Kousei loved her, but she also knew that she wasn't gonna be alive much longer so she was afraid to tell Kousei. One scene was the fireflies scene, where Kousei says "I had you". Kaori knew she was not going to be able to help him. But you can tell she knew of his feelings

I'm studying nietzsche right now and he basically says that you understand the value of life when you experiment death. Death makes us realize what life means. That doesn't mean that you must throw urself under a bus to have a meaning in life though. This can be applied to a lot of things, like family, friends, love or even having a stable home, having food... This is why I find this thinking really interesting

i am in my 40s and never gave any thought of watching anime until I did start couple of weeks ago and so many people recommended this series. I have to tell you, this made me cry and feel more than anything I have ever watched before. Not a movie or a series hit me as hard as this one did. The story, the characters, the music.. everything was absolutely perfect until the very end of the credits. I am never going to forget this

SAD ENDING

This had to be recommended in April

This is the first anime that I literally cried watching and still be sad after months still remembering it. Like even after finishing it , if i heard its soundtrack somewhere else i would immediately become sad remembering this anime. I really don't know why , i've watched other sad animes but thia one just hits different. Maybe because it doesn't seems like a sad story at first but towards the end it becomes one.
