I totally got teary eyed when you said, "Our only job is to like ourselves." Sometimes I don't understand why are we soo harsh on ourselves. It hurts. Anyway.. It was such a good reminder of self acceptance and self love in true sense. And Jenn.. I love you. ❤ you, your vlogs, your opinions its just such a comforting and familiar vibe. I always always look forward to your content. Thanks..! 😘

Funny enough, I only loved reading and writing too after I graduated. There’s something about not being forced to do it and learning to love it myself that makes me want to keep doing it. Lesson is that it’s never too late to start anything and actually love it!

Because of the quarantine, I had more time to be with my biggest critic, myself. I’ve created tiny habits like journaling at night, meditating for a few minutes, working out. Anything to keep my spirits up and put me in a better mood. Life becomes easier if we become good friends with ourselves ✨

Oh yes! Writing without pressure keeps the passion. I thought I loved writing and went to write for a marketing department of a global hotel chain, the deadlines just suck out all the creativity and it's no longer an art or passion that I loved. So, I've learnt that not all passions should be turned into a job 😊

Jenn has no idea how much she has helped me, a few months ago I started therapy but seeing her tips and what works for her has helped me a lot, is like getting a guide on how I can work on myself, I forgot completely of her and I was like omg i havent seen Jenn wtf. and her glow up from some years ago when I was watching her WOW is really inspiring and I love how much she is into mental health. We all need to work on ourselves before I asked for help I would wake up and be like, now what. I don't wanna eat, go out, like what's the point. Eating for me was like omg I have to eat, my friends and family would have to tell me EAT and put the plate in front of me, then I would be like oh yeah I'm hungry lol I would forget to eat cuz I just wasn't hungry, just that, I was as dead inside, I was the type of person who would sing in the shower, car, doing something, dancing, being silly..... suddenly I stopped. I also didn't want to see anyone, stopped painting. having no money to be able to buy material made it worse so I stop. After last year I finally asked for help after an overdose, moved to another city and started to get help from my mom, went to therapy, started meds, after a few months suddenly I woke up SO HUNGRY and so early when to the kitchen all HAPPY making myself breakfast ME I hated doing breakfast, I started to feel a little love for myself making the breakfast for myself making it look nice for me, my mom hugs me every sec cuz she is is so glad seeing my progress. I still have a lot of trauma and things to work on but now I can actually see the light at the of the tunnel and that for me is everything, is what I need to keep going cuz every time was harder to recover. just wanted to share this, ps English is no my first language

Happy 60th Birthday to your day, Jenn! Also, I totally agree that you should make it a daily goal to like yourself; It's so easy to hate yourself and it takes so much strength and emotions to really like myself.

The reason why I kept watching Jenn’s vlog since a long time until now because everything that she says is very THERAPEUTIC and she’s a very positive person which inspires me. If there’s a chance, I would like to meet her and I wanna let her give me some advise about life, and encouragement.💜

Hey Jenn, I have been following you for 7 years and I'm 25 now, I liked you at first because i feel like your personality, likes and dislikes are similar to mine like books, fashion and films too so you are kinda like the friend\older sister I always wanted to have, all through these years we were always around the same age group and going the same 20-something age struggles and your videos and advice and even seeing how even you are trying to figure it out sometimes made me take thing a bit easier on myself. Thank you for being you and sharing parts of your life with us. PS: I love the way you think and choose your words when you talk, English is not my first language and that too helped me learn it outside of school and express myself better in it, I truly admire you and will always support you, sending you virtual big hugs & hot Cheetos haha.

You speaking of the library just reminded me of all the time I would spend at the library or bookstore with my grandmother. She really got me into reading and as a young kid (before I could really read) she would always read to me or my mom would. My grandmother would always bring me around books, though. She also got me really interested in Asian culture and food, and got me hooked on anime. Oh sweet memories ❤️

This video could not have come at a better time. These past few days I've come to the striking revelation that a lot of my depression and anxiety stems from self-loathing. I need to forgive myself for the mistakes I've made in the past and learn to love myself more.

I really enjoy how conversational your vlogs are! I get emotional sometimes listening to you talk because I can relate SO much to the feelings and emotions you discuss. Thank you for pushing out incredible content during this time. Your videos have seriously been so therapeutic for me because I tend to hyperstress. ♥ Also, I'm definitely going to buy that egg cooker! It saves so much water lol.
