Let All people of India stop Option Trading for at least 10 days and teach a lesson to GOv, SEBI, Exchanges for what kind of losses first they will encounter. Even 5% tax is not acceptable..

If FnO taxes are increased, It will create negativity in the entire market and will pass a sentiment that the government can impose Higher taxes in the long term capital gain in future, Hence loss of volume and small pocket investors.

Koi small retail traders ki safety ki bat nhi hai seedhi si bat government ko chahiye high tax ....

Pathetic decision....looks like the govt is bring greedy for more revenue.....but this is not the 1990s traders will leave india and move to dubai for better opportunities far better than the ones which are right now.....thia decision will make or break the trading future in india.

It is never the govt job to provide jobs.. They have to create conducive environment sop that private sector creates jobs.

I totally understand the philosophy you are talking about and momentum investing is the best thing right now. But can this thing be applied 10 years from today? Momentum has been working in last 100 years for every market. There are many research papers on that. You can just go through them. One popular one was written by Jegadeesh and Titman.

Smaller the lot size more tax the govt. will get as more people will be able to participate. Saving smaller trader is just a term used to justify higher tax.

BJP gov intention is bad.. Modi gov forgets about helping middle-class people but tries to extract more and more taxes from normal people... This is all tricks to implement 10 to 20% tax by proposing 30% tax.. BJP gov will not come to power for sure next time..They are playing with fire

Why not impose a law which restricts Fno trading by anyone below a avg income of 3 cr a year.

momentum strategy will work like any other strategy in a bear mkt... lose money ... but it will try to go to cash or move to defensive stocks so deep mkt crisis will see momentum strategy do better than conventional strategies

Unlikely. FnO is too good a cash cow to reduce liquidity. Also FIIs will sell off till the govt does a turnaround

@@AlokJain F&O TAX leads to less fno traders,, In that situation investors will go the less volatile stocks(largecap),which creates demand in largecap, thus increase the largecap stocks price.. Also FII tends to invest in largecap.

BJP gov playing with Fire even if they charge 5% tax by playing tricks by proposing 30% tax on F&Os. At this time by Chance BJP came to power and now BJP not understanding the implications of this. Next time BJP will not come to power for sure..
