    Your awesome Ollie! Your doing us service out here. It's way easier to watch a well edited video than read through boring webpages and pdfs.

    Very thankful for this video! I'm a medic at Newcastle and the uni really hasn't explained this to us. Just to clarify, you don't need to interview for normal foundation posts? Thanks Ollie!

    No problem Ben, and that's right - no interviews for normal Foundation. It would just be way too many people

    Hiya, Ollie! Thanks a lot for such a detailed video about junior doctor's paths. It tackled everything I was unsure about. I have a question though...Is there any possibility to integrate to F1&2 or other foundation programmes as a Non-Uk student (graduate) post-medschool in my home country? If so, how is it different and how can one prepare for it? Thanks a lot. :)

    Wow , these videos are so great! Thanks Ollie ! Honestly so grateful for them! Regarding this video, I was wondering about the Medical Licensing Assessment for graduates after 2024-25, and where that comes into all of this? Will it replace the current system of assessment at the end of medical school ? Thanks again! [edited] Oh I now notice this has been answered in a comment below !

    Yeah no worries, I'm afraid we simply don't know! My gut feeling would be to say that it would have some role to play potentially like the USMLE in the states, but the word from above isn't out yet.

    Hi, I have just discovered your youtube channel. I have a questions about the psychiatry foundation program. After completing the foundation program can we apply to other speacilities?

  • @OllieBurtonMed

    @OllieBurtonMed

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes absolutely - all forms of the Foundation programme give the same certificate of completion. It has no effect on which specialties you can apply for, they're all the same.

    Hi I'm thinking about doing thinking about doing the graduate med school next year but do you have to do your Foundation years in the UK or can you do it abroad?

  • @OllieBurtonMed

    @OllieBurtonMed

    3 жыл бұрын

    As far as I'm aware it has to be done in the UK because that completes your medical registration with the GMC - once you've completed F2 you can go and work abroad is my understanding.
