Ready or not, I listened to in one sitting. I literally just listen to it in bed in the dark because I couldn’t stop. The narration was phenomenal. I’ve never listen to this narrator before, she really acted her role and put so much emotion and emphasis into her character.
I just finished Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann yesterday, and omg I LOVED it! Immediately wanted to buy a physical copy, wanted to tell my husband all about it, wanted to start it over again right away!! Idk, it just worked for me!!
Happily Never After by Lynn Painter. I listened to the audio, and it was great. I gave it 5 stars. ❤😊
Thanks for sharing and I did not know about Julie Soto’s new one-going to see if I can preorder rn. Read it off your recommendation last year and ❤️ it too..especially hit home cuz I live in Sacto.
I agree with The Women recommendation! So good! Heartbreaking but hopeful at the same time.
I LOVED The Fabric Of Our Souls…it was my first book of the year and DEFINITELY a top! I’m also completely obsessed with the author Kelsey Kingsley. All of her books so far have been 5⭐️ reads and I’m working through her backlist.
When the Moon Hatched I have out on Libby and I’m nervous 😬 but The Women… 🙌🏻🙌🏻 such an amazing book!
Learn Your Lesson was really good, actually! I was so pleasantly surprised. The single dad aspect is what sold me on it.
Check and Mate by Ali Hazelwood (I rushed to get this one after watching you gush over it in one of your videos). I freaking *loved* it! Better Than The Movies by Lynn Painter. Absolutely freaking amazing read! And I thought I was over YA. But those two books are my top favorite of 2024 so far.
I didn’t get to comment on my favorite read so far this year so here’s mine..OLDER by Jennifer Hartmann. High high angst! The angst is insane! I know you love the angst, best friends dad, forbidden age gap, set in the 90s. So so good!! I need to hear your thoughts on this one.
The Rule Book by Sarah Adams is one I read recently and absolutely loved it!
Hey Jess here are my favorite books of 2024 so far 1. Twilight of embers by Tessa Hale 2. Midnight of ashes by Tessa Hale 3. Ashes of you catherine Cowles 4. The partner plot by Kristina forrest 5. Pirate girls by Penelope Douglas 😊
I can’t wait for you to read Secrets and Masks! As much I loved Manacled, I thought Secrets and Masks was even better. It drew me down a dramione rabbit hole that I can’t seem to get out of now. I’m obsessed!!
*Honeytrap* by Aster Glenn Gray is so GOOD. The perfect mix of angst and sweet moments. A plot twist literally made me scream out loud for how much I was involved in the romance! Definitely my favorite of the year so far. I also really enjoyed *The Charm Offensive* by Alison Cochrun (such a fun rom-com with some really funny banter between the protagonists. Also, I thought the author did an excellent job when talking about mental health), and *Always Be My Baby* by Naike Ror (I think I've never read more belivable teens than the ones in this book lol)
Ready or Not is so cute!
Fragile Sanctuary surpassed the greatness that is Ashes of You and Echoes of You! ❤
I just finished When the Moon Hatched on audio, I have a feeling if I had read it with my eyeballs I would have dnfed it. It was okay. Role Playing has been on my tbr, love the older characters.
Role playing is really good! Ready or not was interesting, though I'm not sure you'll love it. I liked it, but it was more focus on the pregnancy than the romance imo
The Housemaid’s Secret by Frieda McFadden that’s where I started and I loveeed it
Never Lie is amazing! Her best book IMO. Try it and the Housemaide series. The teacher involves moral issues involving relationships and students. I know teachers that read it and didn’t mind it. I know some that hated it because of it. The book is okay. She has better, but it’s her best in the last few years probably.
Book one was just OK. I never read book 2 but learn your lesson was really good. I really liked it heartless hunter was OK. Loving the legend was really good
Their Dark Rose was rough for me, I usually love it but something about it just didn’t quite work.
I’ve heard such good things about just for summer 🥹
I enjoyed Heartless Hunter more than Serpent & Dove and I loved S&D. I read ToG without reading assassins blade (bc I didn’t own it) and then finally found it used and went back to read it. It just adds to the story. Now I’m rereading ToG and read AB where you are “supposed to.” Honestly just jump into Heir of Fire bc it’s so so so good!!
Favorite is Pam Godwin’s newest trilogy (books 1 and 2 out this past March and April) 😍🥰 Dark Romantic Suspense MFM So good
Bride is a vampire female MC and a were male mc. He's an alpha and her dad is the head of the vampires so they have an arranged marriage to stop the fighting between the 2 factions.
Stolen Hearts by Leslie Ann!! ☀️ and Hate to want you by Julia Jarrett 📖🥵
Girl Abroad by Elle Kennedy was really good.
I need more rugby romance after reading binding 13
The Signed series by Mia Knight 😭🤌
Funny story from Emily Henry ❤was my nr 1 so far
I LOVED Ready or Not, but I am not sure you will….I just loved the characters so much. I’m not a Freida fan. I’ve read two of her books and probably won’t read any more of her books. I just don’t like the writing style.
The way I’ve never heard of some of these books 😂
You mentioned being on YT for nine years now. Are you planning anything special for your 10 year anniversary? You should.
I DNFd Fangirl Down. They got together almost instantly and it was just boring. I read it 60% but then called it. It does have diabetes rep which was nice though.
Comment contains spoilers about Say You Swear…… • • • I knew she lost her memory in an accident going into it, that she forgot who Noah was, and she remembered her feelings for the other guy (Chase? Chance? I forgot his name). From the start I wasn’t won over by the other guy and always rooted Noah. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone be anything but Team Noah. I will say….. I hate slow burns, but I ATE this book up.
I don’t think Ready or Not is for you. It’s a surprise pregnancy trope and I know you tend to not like that trope.
In my opinion, Freida McFadden books are intense, can't put it down, 5 stars... until the "big reveal/twist" and then they are 3 star reads. The twists aren't interesting or shocking. So disappointing. Every single one I have read!
Hi there Hi there Hi there Hi there
Kandi Steiner just doesn’t work for me, I’ve read that whole hockey series and just don’t really enjoy it.
Definitely don’t read The Teacher. It’s very…😳🥴😵💫
Dont waste your time with Freida McFadden. Her books are so overrated. Sorry, i just dont like her books. I read the Teacher and the Inmate and hated them both. Just my opinion though 🤷♀️

I agree with you , I’ve read the inmate and read the housemaid book one and didn’t like either of them .
