Something that Ive always wondered is shown a lot in this video. For the people that lookfully white but have one black /poc parent, how do they identify? Do they identify as a poc despite their appearance? Does it differ from goverment/ medical papers and real life? Do you get to decide on govtImed papers or do you have to select black/poc because you're mixed? Ive always been curious but Ive never known anyone I could ask.

take for example, the singer halsey. she has a black parent but looks fully white. in an interview they mentioned that it’s frustrating for people to act like she’s fully white just because of the colour of their skin. so for halsey, she identifies as mixed, but i guess it would depend on the person.
