Anna & Tyler, I really like the variety of video styles that you do, that is one of the problems with a lot of other channels, all of their videos are the same style. I like that you mix it up and your interaction always makes them entertaining. Ken

I watched your video on what to expect in Feb and heard about the float package. It sounded so fun that I booked it for our vacation. We purchased float dine & ride tickets several weeks ago for Tuesday the 7th and were a little disappointed when we realized it was an early park close day...however we decided it would still be a blast even in broad daylight 🙂but then I was lucky enough to get us a season pass holder reservation for Monday the 6th - YES!!! SCORE 🙂 so we will be in the crowd snatching beads next Sunday and then throwing them from the parade on Monday & Tuesday. We can't wait for vacation next week. Tyler has a great idea with all things beignet.

Hi Anna & Tyler! Thank you for sharing the scoop on Mardi Gras. I have only been to Mardi Gras once in 2021 when they still had the stationary floats. So I haven’t see the Parade, shocker, I know! Do you have a video on that Food Lanyard? Again, I know another shocker, something that I know nothing or little about it. Can you share more information on how it works? As for the food, I believe that they have upped the food to keep up with Disney’s Epcot festivals and the general food improvements throughout the resorts. Similar to what happened in Las Vegas and Atlantic City over the past 15 years. On the Tribute Store, I had heard that they were doing a new Pass Holder Lounge in IAO, I didn’t realize that the one in Studios was going to close, but it make sense with the other closures in the Hollywood section.

Hey Ken! So they’ve done away with the Mardi Gras tasting lanyards they used to have, which were a little more complicated. The lanyards were only good for the Mardi Gras food carts, and each had a certain number of items on them. So regardless of the price you got like 15 items with the lanyard. Now they just give you food and beverage gift cards, but you buy them for less than they’re worth. Everyone can purchase the $75 for $65 (save $10) and only passholders can get the $150 for $120, saving $30. I’m sure we talk about it more in an older Mardi Gras video! Lol

I’m not going to be there for the parade on the 8th, but if I was I would yell FUINA! To get some beads!!!! 🎉😂❤ Loved Tyler’s practice throw!

We are so excited to finally be heading to Universal for the opening weekend of Mardi Gras. 🤩 In the like 30ish years that the two of us have been going, !Somehhow!🤦‍♀ we have never made it to Mardi Gras. We are doing the Ride and Dine on opening weekend and cannot wait! Also, the times and dates are different for each of the restaurants, some are more popular than others. The other things that I learned about Ride and Dine is if you are on the 3PM time slot, you eat first - then meet up somewhere for the float parade at 6ish... Also, you cannot ask to be on a certain float - the team members are supposedly going to be handing out colors that will correlate to the float you will ride. Let the good times roll!!!! 💜💚🤍Also, can Universal PLEASE roll out the menus, lol! I asked the team member over the phone. They think tomorrow... 🤞

@@ThePughTwo We also had a great weekend. The express passes were much needed. Just finished the Mardi Gras parade and having dinner at Confiscos. Orlando Informer was GREAT Saturday night. It’s now a must do for us.

I'll be throwing beads this Saturday as part of the Ride and Dine package. First stop, NBC Grill, then enjoying my first Mardi Gras Parade!

We have friends from New Orleans, and we went last year! The food was WAY better than what you can get at Universal lol. We got a bbq shrimp po boy somewhere that changed my life 🤤😂 the parades were super fun, too! Universal does a good job for a theme park, though lol.

I used mine in March, August and again in December. The tribute store and a popcorn food cart were the only places I was unable to use the card for snacks. I didn’t try it at Starbucks or the hotel. I highly recommend getting the cards.

Kevin and Silver are right! We actually think that has to do with why they switched from tasting lanyards to gift cards!

I just checked, and they have last year’s menu’s up! Their site says something to the effect of “we’re waiting for more info for 2023”

The theme last year was galaxy but this year is mythical beasts like dragons and unicorns.

It depends on when you come. Mardi Gras runs until early April, so that’s a good span of time. March is the busiest part of Mardi Gras with spring break happing in different parts of the country during different weeks!

Just discovered that the tradition of the "bead tree" has been outlawed. :(
