@@gloomy.autumn he's amazing!! He's almost 2 years old and he's such a wonderful dog! He's (mostly) so we'll behaved! Haha honestly, I didn't keep up as much as I should have with training as life gets busy but even still, he's so incredible! I did do my best to stick to the McCann training and I would say I did 85%! It's all worth it in the end!

I’m fighting back the tears watching this video while I’m waiting a few more week to pick up our corgi puppy! When she ran to him and when she snuggled her in the car, so heartwarming! I can’t wait to see her excited face! I’ve been learning so much from your videos to set our puppy up for success from the moment we get him!

OK this was my favorite video ever!! So sweet, so helpful, I'll definitely be coming back to this series if we get a new puppy. Kayl just makes me want to be the best parent to my dog I can be.

I got my puppy last April and even though he’s being full on teenager he still has the same loving eyes and happiness he had when I picked him up! It’s such a great feeling having those eyes look at you 😍 Good luck to everyone getting a new puppy! McCann’s are really great!

Loved this! We brought our 8 week old border collie home on Monday and he has settled so well and already doing amazing with toilet training and crate training 🥰 can’t thank you guys enough for your amazing videos and helping me be the best dog mum ❤️

Your method works! My first day and night with my new 8 week old puppy was great. Peed outside before bed and again at 3am. This morning she knew exactly what to do as soon as I took her out of her crate. Yay! 😃👍🎶

I'm so glad you made this video. I just got my puppy last Saturday. I've been watching your videos and thanks to them my puppy is happily sleeping in her crate. I also followed your video to put her right next to my bed. I did have a few pee accidents in the house but so far so good. Looking forward to more of your videos!

Pro tip: on the first night, do not let your puppy nap for 3-4 hours before you plan on going to bed for the night otherwise you’ll be up all night 🙃

I heard that you're supposed to let them sleep as long as needed and not wake them? Like if they sleep through a feeding to let them do so. Has that changed? Getting a puppy in a few weeks so trying to get all the notes together :).

@@Jaxamuss this was only on the first night! I was so lucky and my corgi puppy was an easy sleeper and she still is at almost 3 years old now! I know my friend had to make sure to tire her puppy out 3-4 hour prior to bed time otherwise her pup would keep her up but I know all dogs are different! Good luck and congrats on the new fur baby!

I really loved this video because throughout her whole delivery on the different aspects of trying THE PUPPY WAS ALWAYS IN THE VIDEO, which made it so much more interesting to listen to whilst seeing the cute puppy ALL THE TIME and not turning the camera to the human face only whilst the cute dog is there but out of the picture. Thanks for a very interesting video and giving us a lot of puppy viewing which is what keeps people watching and listening. Good job.

My husband and I just got a puppy a couple days ago and have been watching all your videos. We have had him exactly 2 days and the breeder had not started working with them at all and he already puts himself in his kennel when he wants food and to go to sleep. We have had 3 pee accidents in almost 48 hours, all his other business has been done outside. Thank you for all you do, your videos have done so much to help us already!!!

Putting the crate on the bedside table is brilliant! I used to place the crate next to my bed and then dangle my arm over the side for the puppy to know I was there. Your way is much more comfortable!

This was perfect timing,I like you have multiple dogs and because we are crazy just brought home a puppy, great advice on the dresser crate option.I did not end up sleeping on the floor this time! Also thanks for the insight about not having all the dogs milling around the new puppy

I'm getting my new pup at the end of February, like someone else on this list. I'm nervous. This video was so helpful! I have watched you guys so often, and thought I knew what to do on that first night, but to have gone through it with you was awesome. Not one thing, but so many things. Ok, it's ok if puppy needs to sleep, also if it whines a bit, but maybe if it really needs to go outside, I'll have to let it out, but not when it's crying..... I got my puppy on the Jan 2nd! So I'm so excited for these videos! Ive been watching your videos and I'm learning to train her already and although potty training is hard she doesn't pee much on carpet but she isn't trained to go outside yet because she isn't fully vaccinated and my apartments has so many dogs and so many feral cats, so to keep her safe I'm training her in the house for now! But today is day 4 of kennel closing training after she was already comfortable in her crate! I must say I'm so proud of her and I'm so proud of myself! Me? Training ? What!

We pick up our 2 aussie pups in 2 weeks. Did you succeed with crate training? Our first mini Aussie would never sleep in his crate. We tried for a very long time.

Wish this video was published 3 weeks ago when we got our lab puppy! BUT still beneficial because it showed us that all that video watching we did to prepare paid off! Even though we felt overwhelmed we got a lot of it right! Now 3 weeks later we are beginning to feel like we can do this!😀
