You can only hope that there is still a protective circuit in the battery itself or that the internal resistance of the dead battery is high enough. Ok, most lithium batteries don't start to burn or explode, but increased self-discharge, lower capacity and reduced ampere output do not increase the joy of working. If you accept the risk with a deeply discharged battery, use a laboratory power supply. The problem with your method is, that not all cells are discharged and you do not ensure, that the charge levels are balanced. The “effect” therefore is only for a short time.

Nothing will ever change a dead battery. I found It easier to convert to a 12v and plug it to car cigarette liter.

@@noelmadigan8672 Does this make sense? This may be easy with a 12V device. With an 18V drill you still need a DC-DC converter with enough power. The cigarette lighter is not designed for high currents and there was definitely a reason for the “wireless” when you bought it. But you're right, a dead battery is a dead battery. But you can also replace all the cells; with branded devices this is cheaper than a new battery.
IF this works, it will only be temporary. (measure the capacity of the rejuvenated cell and it will be unusable!!! only way to fix properly, is to dissemble and change the dud cell, its usually one. I have done this twice. MUST be careful to avoid adjacent contacts. Snip the old cell out, after using a volt meter to locate and solder in a new one. e.g. remove and use a Lidl cell.
