I have a question. When someone is reciting from the Quran, why does it always sound like they are singing it? I'm not Muslim but sometimes I like to listen even though I don't understand because it is so peaceful.

Hello! We are taught to recite in a beautiful manner - (however this is with limits) and that is aided by the rules of Qur’an called tajwid which enhance the meaning See source: Al-Bara ibn ‘Azib reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Beautify the Quran with your voices.” Source: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 1468 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani and Allah Knows Best - hope this helps :)
