I was impressed with the male bowerbird even if the female wasn't... well the fake females. He built a lovely bower, very organized and neat. He collected pretty blue baubles. He gave gifts of rings and flowers. And he had some pretty cool moves.

Birds are awesome, we have a bunch of feeders in my backyard, while we don't have exotics we do have all 3 woodpeckers blue birds and yellow finches. Strange that the most exotic of birds we have , woodpeckers, they let me get super close ! I got videos of em on my gab account, tho nowhere near as intriguing as this series of robot animals.

He even had a few blue flowers and feathers!!!

What exquisite eyes! They look like sapphires! So pretty.

I wonder if your team has ever considered a 24/7 youtube stream using one of your spy animals. Edit: But now that I think about it again, I would imagine setting all of it up would be extremely time and resource consuming unfortunately, but still, these videos are always fascinating to watch.

24/7 cams need a direct line for charging batteries and connection, which means it wouldn't be very in the wild and just like a regular camera in a nest. I imagine spy animals only last for so long before the real ones figure it out and dispose of it or just largely ignore it

It's all fun and games until they bring out the spy-human.

I really appreciate that birds will do crimes for sparkly things

This video is amazing! I nearly missed it! I think when it was first uploaded I scrolled past it not realizing it was a downer-spy-animal-cam video! Judging by the views compared to the beaver video released shortly after, I think others have also missed out on this video like me, and for the same reason I think! You should change the thumbnail maybe to a shot of one of those birds near their very distinctive looking nest so that people will see and recognize the bird species etc. thank you for sharing!

The way these birds compete for the others acceptance and Mating privileges is so different from humans, For humans you're lucky enough if you even get a bouquet of flowers let alone a dandelion from your potential significant other. To impress a mate is as simple as collecting Bright colored garbage that we throw away on the side of the roads, Think about it and let it sit 🤔🤔🤔

So humans aren't the only species to have scumbags.
