I do like the spin on Mary/Sargent Marvel's powers it's pretty cool. Zatanna is a lovable character who's backwards magic is a clever concept. Looking forward to more of her story arc. 💙

And now that you mention that Sargent Marvel was on probably on the team with Jason Todd I wonder if she quit the hero gig because of his death. Jason Todd was already name dropped once this season and in the last arc the character widely speculated to be him made an appearance. They could be building up to his reveal in the Nightwing arc.

That's a good point...it would have been tough on many. At that time several were there that left.. Jason died BEFORE Legacy Happened because Tim is Robin there and she was gone too...along with Lt Marvel AKA Freddie Freeman. I was a different era i want to see... Tula Aquagirl was B11 Donna Troy - Troia was B12 Jason Todd Robin was B13 Freddie Lt Marvel was B14 Mary/ Sgt Marvel was B15 Barbara Gordon was B16

I think what she meant when she said that, she grew out of it, she was speaking either morally or the ideal. She grew up being a superhero and witnessing a lot of things and now she has been changed by that. Possibly she gave up her powers as an attempt to get away from the hero business only to discover that she can now use magic based off of Shazam gods. Another idea is that splitting Shazam’s powers made it so that none of them, including Shazam, where as powerful if there was only one using Shazam powers, causing a scenario where one of them got seriously hurt or unable to save others.

Considering that in this episode there is a scene where she is asked who she was as a Superhero and she replays that she can't say it aloud herself i think she still has the Shazam powers but choses not to transform.

It would be very dark if Zatanna was training these kids considering one to be the new Dr Fate. I dont think she would go through with it but it would be interesting if she considered it

@@blvccpercs honestly Im a little surprised because even though it was split power, its still rather dark that she trained them for this purpose, Khalid asking her if this was the plan all along and her just blank staring was awesome. I think to move forward Traci should die whilst she is Fate (maybe by Black Sergent Marvel). I say Traci because Khalid would be a better choice to have a moment telling Zatanna off, maybe even saying he wont let her have the helmet. The big thing I like is they are making Zatanna almost as dark as her comicbook counterpart. In season 5 they should do some sort of infinite Crisis where Dick figures out she crossed the line (instead of Batman because Dick is our hero in YJ) and he calls her up on it only for her to have erased his mind, possibly multiple times just like she did to Batman in the comics for erasing supervillains memories.

I love how Zatanna is growing, and with the way the story is going she may just get her father back!!

Great video l. Just a minor note, Mary Bromfeld is Billy Batson’s sister. When their parents died, billy wended up on the streets and she disappeared. Later billy finds her again and discovers she was adopted by the bromfelds. As you can see I’m a huge marvel family fan, would love a video devoted to them. Thanks for all the amazing content

My guesses: Mary had a Black Eve situation. Didn't give up the power when it was her time. A shame they didn't reference Isis for us old school weekday afternoon kids. Also intrigued with the difference between Atlantean, Amazonian and Human magic. Crouching Lizard, Hidden Dragon. Though are living familiars a function of chaos magic? I'm also curious about Vandal Savages dealing with both Order and Chaos. If his village Atlantis predates the watery one we are looking at 10k years in the past. Ancient Babylon (where he fights along Nabu) and ancient Egypt (possible encounters with Shazaam, the Hawks or the Beetles) are still millenia away. So what does he offer Klarion when his millennial reprieve is up?

Also Mary is also the sister to billy baston captain marvel

I love how this show brings back people in such an interesting way

Absolutely love seeing Zatanna again, excited to see how Mary progresses further as well.

Traci's bad luck magic reminds so much of Jinx, from the Teen Titans. I know those two aren't the same, but I haven't read any comic books, so I've been wondering if they are somehow related in their comic versions, maybe they have the same magic source or something like that? Or are they from different worlds?

Has nobody noticed that 13 has the exact sam powers as the pink evil chick from teen titans. I think her name was Tricksy or Jinx and she was a big member of HIVE.

i am happy that mary marvel is in this universe.

@@ComicBookNostalgia honestly really thinking about it I change my mind Bc ravens story is probably gonna need more than four episodes to be done right and I don’t see any room for her to appear in this arc but I’d love to be proven wrong lol and if anyone is gonna show up in a nightwing arc from the Titans it’s definitely starfire and honestly raven starfire and supergirl are the three I’m hoping to see before the series is over

This was really cool as an episode I hope we get more on child and flaw too

This was a great video,Comic Book Nostalgia. Seeing Traci and Mary in the episode was totally awesome and hearing more about the Future Doctor Fate was great. He is a character that I seen in the comics, but really didn't know a lot about. So hearing you talk about him was very interesting. As for my favorite students of Zantana, I got to go with Mary. I have read some of the tie in comics to this and remember that she was referred as Sergeant Marvel. I do hope we do get the answer to why she left and why she back. I also hope that towards the end of the arc we get her saying that famous name and calling herself Mary Marvel. Thanks so much for doing this video .

From the little bit they interacted with each other last episode it doesn't seem like they'll be allied together, which could spell chaos for earth. Child and Flaw's introduction has me wondering if the lords of chaos plan to break that promise Klarion made to Savage, turn on him or something else behind the scenes.

Dick Grayson and Zatanna were 13/14 in the first season. Teen flings never survive long term.

Weisman said that as of season 3, the word "Marvel" is off limits, which is why Billy is called Shazam now. It's also why Mary can't say her old codename from her Team days

I think you may be very right and that might be what disrupted her connection to 'the gods'. With the "red ninja' surely being jason and Onyx & Jade there with him i think these pieces come together in nightwings arc

@@ComicBookNostalgia Yeah. I have theory though, about Kell-el. Since the martian bomb was DNA base bomb and tainted with kryptonite. Would that alter Conner's genes making him Kell-el. He is half human and half kryptonian, and only half of the krytonite radiation would affect him.

This arc thing is disjointing, did they have seperate teams working on different arcs to speed up the process?
