I've absolutely had that same experience (enhanced hearing + ability to isolate conversations from afar) at a Replacements concert of all places. I turned to my friend and he confirmed he was having the same experience! I looked around and it was a bunch of old dudes/people in the crowd (I was late 20s at the time). I took 10 double stacks(transformer and blue dolphin)in a 12 hour period one night. Fuckin wit the booga suga at the same time and had went through 4 half pints of some cheap ass vodka(takka). Ran out of everything about 8am that morning and of course couldn’t go to sleep. Took 2 bars. Hour later I’m sitting at my brother crib talking to him and Bam!! Woke up on way to hospital in an ambulance. My first seizure. Got out the hospital the next morning and started all over again. Addiction is a mafucka!! Been drug free for a while now. By the grace of GOD! I wasn’t able to do it on my own. I like being sober.💯🫡🙏🏾
