Well people here in comments gving the argument that if USA or Britain would have occupied Tibet, their situation would have been like Libya or Sudan. To them I want to ask, how is China's presence better than that?

Look at Tibet and look at Native American in the US…Native American have been suppressed notoriously and their culture almost extincts

I'm from Australia, most people here think Tibet is a very backward place and the Tibetan people are all suffering at the hand of the CPC. In their mind if the reality is somewhat different from their perception then it is the result of culture genocide. Sometimes I'm just so sick of them thinking this way, as if the Tibetan people does not have the right to modernise or improve their own living standard. No matter what we say, they will never believe the real Tibet can be this beautiful. Hate always blinds people.

Tibet is absolutely stunning… I went to western Yunnan about 10 years ago and it was very similar to this, amazing culture and China has abolished the terrible feudal system which was there previously and liberated the people… it’s blossomed

A friend of mine who visited Tibet long ago told me that very few people regret the good old days when they were treated like slaves with no schools, no universities, no roads etc.Of course this meant a lot of changes in everyday's life. Some people in the West think if was better previously.

Dalai Lama wouldn't expect that the descendants of his slaves are having a better life than he has now.
