I've had big spawning bass come back for thirds until finally getting hooked.

I believe your thought process / hope for the best idea got potential for bigger fish. Just one thing left to do Pray 🎣

Good fishing story to tell. Catching the same fish 2x is hard enough. I popped my line and caught the next striper with that same leader in the mouth. Another time, there was a striper blitz. I threw my favorite top water spook but on the first cast, the line got caught with something and the line popped. It is a floating stick bait so we watched the floating lure and it was moving slowly like a fish was under it. Then all of a sudden, the lure went under water. A moment later, the lure was 5 feet in front of me. It was as though the striper ate the lure n when it swam closer to the shore, it releases it. I had witness with me for verification n proof. I got my favorite lure back and caught a bunch of fish with it and I still have it today.

i took a bite out of a plum and the plum was too green. tossed plum in water. lake berryessa. caught a big catfish and when i cleaned him...there was my green plum with one bite out of it in its stomach.

What a super looking fine day to be rolling on the water with a fish line out! Catching the Same ROCK fish many times. Adam you know rock fish are super territorial. They defend one hole/crevasse. With refined GPS/fish finders, now fishers can work a great peaked "rock pile/mountain" again and again, in the same day or always. Maybe that's why age structures of rock fish (living 30-60 years old) are getting tilted towards very young fish. Your environs looked like SoCal? Not your usual SF Bay?

I caught the same trout (dfw tag) 3 times over the course of two weeks. Same hole in the creek feeding Silver lake in the eastern sierra. Third time he became breakfast.

It's smart to use a floating bait container.

The only thing I can see different on that fish is the round the tail fin the bottom picture has a deformity just before the tailfin pay close attention but everything else looks exactly like the same fish

lol, that’s funny. I was steelhead fishing in a river in Michigan and kept catching the same salmon over and over. Like six times. It was real easy to tell it was the same one. It was like 40 pounds and had a huge hole from a lamprey in the side. Didn’t have much fight. It was just the same deadweight every time. Caught it six times in roughly 3 hours.

Fishing is an amazing craft at times. I was fishing from the bank at San Antonio Reservoir, felt a bite, set the hook and landed a catfish. Upon closer inspection, my hook point went exactly through a brass colored hook-eyelet, thereby catching a fish someone had hooked and lost previously. Might have been a good day to buy a lottery ticket.

I got a shaker stergen twice on the Columbia river on the same day, the strange part is I caught it in two diferent spots 5 miles apart.

Yes! It's a minn kota trolling motor built in to the kayak

My line broke at the knot with a nice halibut in a small cove in Sitka, Alaska. I Hunted that fish for over a week. Never found it.

@@DieHardFishing Actually, last night I did what I should’ve done before ever even using the line and weight tested it. The 15lb fluoro I’d connected to my braid consistently broke around 8lb, which may explain why it broke at its alberto knot rather than the 10lb fluoro leader I was using breaking, so you’re out of my doghouse alberto knot.

Caught 3 Leppard sharks on 60lb test . Never caught that in that area

Maybe you should have fed him a couple bait fish before you let him go 😊

So many ways to lose fish… I lost what a deckhand said was a 125 lb shark off the Rockpile near Alcatraz when it bit through my hook like a side cutter. It was a pretty heavy hook, too.

You know years ago I was in a 16 foot trial boat that my friend Lucky and I bought and I went out there by myself one day, and I was only about a couple miles out in here out in the boat all by myself and a big gray shadow shows up with the dorsal thin And a tail thin thing and I want oh shit that was a great white shark I dropped everything started the motor and got the hell out of there so freaking fast I was scared shitless so that was a 16 foot trial but where you can walk around pee poop in a bucket if you have to whatever the case of me but you’re in a kayak dudeyou can’t really do anything I mean shit man haven’t you seen the movie jaws not good luck dude I like the videos
