Probably based on airport layouts .. because for all intent and purpose they are just large security clearance prison waiting rooms that we are forced to engage with if we need or desire to travel overseas. Why don't we have the same level of security at bus terminals? It used to be like this everywhere in Europe. In the Netherlands they started build “vinex” areas where there are only houses and no shops. I live in the center of Amsterdam, car parked in front of my apartment, but I can walk (just something like 150 meters) to my local supermarket to get all my daily stuff. Has nothing to do with socialism, but pleasant living conditions. The pharmacy is just around the corner too.

It's also known as... prison.

Forget it, I don't want to take the "transit" or live in another human coop. Give me fresh air with space to live freely; a big backyard surrounded by mature trees and opportunity to ride ATVs or keep animals! The suburbs are annoying as well, since houses are built so close to each other and everyone's backyard looks into their neighbor's. HOAs are also cancer if you're unlucky enough to live in one, and some neighborhoods look like they came straight out of the backrooms.

Yet what are people doing about the government? Nothing!

Dang it, this common section is crazy. This is how people always used to live. It is so nice to just take a stroll and then find a cosy cafe to sit in, maybe meet some people and afterwards go back home. that’s what I love.

I think some states in the US are going to manage to become worse than even Canada could wish to be sooner or later. New Jersey, New York, Illinois, California, Delaware, Connecticut.. These places all got worse gun laws and worse regulations in general than Canada currently has.

This Communism or Managerialism will fail. The people that put this into place will find the sharp end of justice.
