Confirming a brilliant piece of kit. We're off-grid and it serves brilliantly for tidying us overnight (fridge/freezer) when house-batts (inverter) are low, before solar panels kick in during the day. Enough mains/5v/12v sockets for our needs (can always add hubs/extensions if needed). The 2000w standard (4000w peak) is brilliant for the price. Easily handles fridge/freezer (inc. surge), or an 1100w microwave or a 900w well-pump. The clincher for us was the two hours (that's >2< hours !) max. time to recharge from 0% (which maps perfectly on to our main genny run-time). It draws 1100w to charge (not adjustable) to allow this. In fact so good I bought a 2nd one (and the 2nd one was even cheaper than the first :-) . It's a heavy and tad pricey beast, but you get what you pay for. Plus a 5yr warranty (once registered). Aferiy even sent me 2x free car-adapter cables (prob. because I bought 2x :-) Highly recommended.

The connection you were not sure about is a 12v 25a Anderson outlet which, if connected into your 12v van system, can be used to power your 12v electrics. How you actually do this is for another day but I’m assuming that if you have some form of switching near your leisure battery with the option of using battery 1 or battery 2, then this might do the trick. Useful for off grid motorhome use.

The 12v outlet you don't recognise is an XT fitting, it's popular with drones and other low voltage charging systems. As for charging via solar you can wire up a few identical wattage panels in parallel to get the maximum wattage but still 12v or a couple of 12v 120w solar in series to get 24v but 120w

Unfortunately or fortunately - it has nothing to do with Japan, but it's a pure Chinese company. I hope their 5 year warranty is not mentioned only to increase sales. Just google the full sentence: AFERIY, founded in China, is dedicated to the innovation of portable emergency power solutions, in hopes of powering a free life of users around the world.

A very persuasive vlog that one 😂. I'll have to save my pennies. I'm sorry if this is a bit off piste, but can I ask where you got your bird feed the mixed insects etc please?. We did look around in a pound land store but no joy. I personally recommend at least a 400w solar panel which will average around 369w in just 6 hours you can get a Full Charge they go for £350 however it's a good price, if you get a Cheap solar panel is pointless because you will never get it charged

Hello Dan I purchased this unit after watching your review but haven't seen the item since 13 days, it's not even dispatched, the communication with the seller is slow and painful. I thought this was too good to be true and indeed it is. The seller constantly tries to dodge my questions without providing a date for my delivery and I don't think he has any intention of fulfilling this order. I think you should take down this review as more people are guaranteed to go through the same that I experienced.

Yes never turn a microwave on empty as non of the microwave energy is absorbed by the food resulting in damage to the unit ! At least put a cup of water in it first 👍
