Shorn, you are not seeing the core Jamaican lifestyle. So far, based on your videos, you have only been taken to the ghettos, some country sides, and a small part of the tourist areas. However, you have not been given a tour of the core or mainstream, middle class Jamaican neighborhoods or the upper class neighborhoods. Keno needs to take you and Dee out of the hood and give you a tour of middle class neighborhoods such as Havendale, Meadowbrook, Arcadia, Barbican, Hope Pastures, Liguanea, Allerdye, Manor Park, etc, etc. He can also take you to one or two of the upper class neighborhoods, and these are only some of the areas in Kingston. Expanding beyond Kingston and it’s environs is a whole other world to experience. 99 percent of the homes have fences, gates, and so on. The neighborhood where you are now and the one you mentioned before are new developments that are mostly owned by Jamaicans living abroad and are used as air b&bs. Come back in two years time and you won’t recognize those neighborhoods. They will have fences, gates, upstairs, and a whole host of additions and improvements.

Please go to Portland and see the beautiful rivers,waterfalls and go bamboo rafting.Jamaica has so many places for you to go.

Waah gwaan Arwa!! As you're in a gated community, the individual houses will not have gates...same in the US. The chill spot in the community is called a club house. The climbing plant you saw on the wall is specie of green creeper (don't know the scientific name); it's not glued, it will climb whatever structure is closest to it, so it will cover that entire wall someday. Quick tip on Jamaican apples (otaheite apple), the darkest ones ate always sweetest.

You need to go back to Jamaica with your baby and husband and spend a lot more time to see Jamaica in all its glory. Love that you are enjoying my country. Your energy is off the chain loved you from I saw you in Kenya with Dee, I love that girl. Big up Kino and Esther. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Knutsford Express luxury coach can be booked online. You travel in comfort - air conditioned, WiFi etc. They travel to Kingston, Ocho Rios, Negril, Montego Bay etc.

Those Mini Bus drivers takes lots of chances one being not fixing their Vehicles ahead of time. Always in a Hurry. No mini Bus for me. I felt very sorry for the ladies running to an awaiting Car on that Road was kinda dangerous. But Thank God they made it safely to TT. All the houses in Jamaica are not what you are experiencing. You are seeing a very small portion of Jamaica. When you return to Kingston let them take you to more communities other than Trench Town. That plant on the highway is called a trumpet tree the people in the countryside use it to prove if a hurricane is really coming because the leaves fold over when a storm threatens the island.

Those are creeper plants on the walls. It grow on the wall if you plant it close enough. We export bananas (which you call plantain) a lot from the country. ❤

Gated community have security that you have to pay for monthly You cannot get in without notification When it is gated no need for the houses to have separate gate.

I just love your energy Shorn. The building that you’re showing is the clubhouse. Residents in the gated community can use it for parties and other activities.

Shorn, most new community is the ones with one main gate. Pls ask Kino to take you to places like, Beverley hill, Cherry gardens, Norbrook, Barbican, Red hills, Stony Hill , and many more communities in kingston and St Andrew's, there you will see houses with individual gates. And there's many more community like that. Try visiting one of those before you leave. Enjoy the rest of your stay. Love your vibes

I am watching red button journal, and I am amazed at the massive mansions on the island. I dont see houses like those in the USA except for like Beverly Hills in California. I know we had the most beautiful houses in Jamaica but not like what I am seeing. Who lives in those mansions?

The mini van driver stated on his way to Ochi he had a flat tired; so he changed to the spare tired; not thinking the spare itself on the way back to town will get punctured as well. Hence, no replacement tire. Hence, always be thankful and like you say, it could've been raining and be stranded in the rain or accident

Exactly tired to see videos of ghetto and kingston area..She don't have to depend on Kino like Dee to take her around. Try and explore different areas Negril, St. Elizabeth, Trelawny etc without them we will enjoy. I think they would be out of the ghetto by now I don't understand the tingo😂😂

And for those who are living there have their gate code to enter.most of Jamaica houses are not like that. King should take you guys on a tour up in the hills of St. Andrew snd Kingston. Now that you’re in Ocho you should your mandeville and sourounding areas.
