He gave every month's results except September and October, which he said were winning months, but I assume were small wins since he didnt list them like he did the others. His total without September and October was $137k, which includes losing $17k in December, so he was up over $150k going into the last month of the year. Add a few thousand more for September and October and Im guessing he made just over $140k.

@@Stockholm_Syndromein the US it's taxed at twice the rate of normal income since it's considered self employment for tax purposes (meaning you have to cover the employer and employee contributions). Of course this is before write offs but still it's insane

yes. it is part of the journey. I am not going to track the results for him. Also, he is not vlogging every session. that means there are parts of the year that are missed. LEx, really like the vlog. You are in the top 5 vloggers, IMO. I disagree with your reasoning on not giving a $ amount for your year results, though. Much of your audience is invested in your journey and watch your work throughout the year,. You should inform us of your final results to give closure on the year, and help us be more invested n that journey. It is not bragging to say your results, when you are a vlogger. It is allowing your audience more insight into what you did through out the year.

At the end of 2021 I started playing poker again after a long time off. Back in the day when I used to grind it all the time, there was no no-limit, but now that's the main game, so I had to get up to speed. I started watching KZread poker videos, and Lex's vlog was the first one I started watching. This led me to Brad's and Wolfgang's and Mariano's. Learning how real no-limit winners think about hands helped me immensely, that and a CLP subscription have made me a winning grinder at 1-3 for about 4,000 hours in the last 2 years. The pocket jacks hand at 12:15 is the perfect example of how to analyze what your opponent has based on how they play their hands, and that is what winning play is all about - knowing your opponents and going with your analysis. Congrats to you and your success Lex, you deserve it and have inspired me to be successful as well.

Lex forgot the part where Jacks are still vulnerable on that board and middling pairs or hands like AQ could bink with 2 streets to go... But he calls to see a turn. (Just in case he needs to check the turn or bet fold the turn??) That's how he really "lost" an over $6k pot. Not bad luck (variance) on the turn. Poor play on the flip after he got raised to $800. DO NOT CALL. SHOVE. I play low stakes cash but on that 663 2 hearts flop? Imma putting HIM all in after being raised. Fuck it! Force HIM to tank & decide whether to call or fold his pocket 8's, 7's, or hands such as 9's or 10's or the flush draw. Cash Game Poker 101. (Lex put it all in anyway... so why not do it when you can put HIM in the blender on the flop?)

when he checked the flop, then check raised the turn he is screaming 99. He was giving you the rope necessary for you to stack yourself. LEx, really like the vlog. You are in the top 5 vloggers, IMO. I disagree with your reasoning on not giving a $ amount for your year results, though. Much of your audience is invested in your journey and watch your work throughout the year,. You should inform us of your final results to give closure on the year, and help us be more invested n that journey. It is not bragging to say your results, when you are a vlogger. It is allowing your audience more insight into what you did through out the year.

At the end of 2021 I started playing poker again after a long time off. Back in the day when I used to grind it all the time, there was no no-limit, but now that's the main game, so I had to get up to speed. I started watching KZread poker videos, and Lex's vlog was the first one I started watching. This led me to Brad's and Wolfgang's and Mariano's. Learning how real no-limit winners think about hands helped me immensely, that and a CLP subscription have made me a winning grinder at 1-3 for about 4,000 hours in the last 2 years. The pocket jacks hand at 12:15 is the perfect example of how to analyze what your opponent has based on how they play their hands, and that is what winning play is all about - knowing your opponents and going with your analysis. Congrats to you and your success Lex, you deserve it and have inspired me to be successful as well.

Lex forgot the part where Jacks are still vulnerable on that board and middling pairs or hands like AQ could bink with 2 streets to go... But he calls to see a turn. (Just in case he needs to check the turn or bet fold the turn??) That's how he really "lost" an over $6k pot. Not bad luck (variance) on the turn. Poor play on the flip after he got raised to $800. DO NOT CALL. SHOVE. I play low stakes cash but on that 663 2 hearts flop? Imma putting HIM all in after being raised. Fuck it! Force HIM to tank & decide whether to call or fold his pocket 8's, 7's, or hands such as 9's or 10's or the flush draw. Cash Game Poker 101. (Lex put it all in anyway... so why not do it when you can put HIM in the blender on the flop?)
If you break even in poker, you are ahead of the curve.

I may look at your book and I'm in the Joplin Area not sure if you have many followers in my area, and I just play 1-2 for the enjoyment at the casino. No where in your league. Great video. And being a “pro” poker player of course it’s nobody’s business how much you make but you should be telling your audience how much you made .how many hours played , tournaments,buy ins etc!!
