All over the world, fishers use handlines as the can't afford 200-500 $ Fishing rods and reels. Before Plastic bottles they used Tin cans. When a kid my Dad bought me fishing rods(My first was a 3 pice Bamboo cane about 12 Ft), but I also used Tin Can handlines with my village fishing friends. Very nice snapper 👍Today a lot of fishing rods + a couple of heavy handlines(100 Lbs) if you throw a big bait down

Like, embellished the fish? Thanks for the feedback. Here’s some perspective on my excitement. Red snapper are usually caught miles off shore, very rare to catch one from land. So my excitement is due to the fact of this being an unusual way to catch a red snapper. Now add that it was on a bottle, makes it more unusual.

Good comment, thank you for your honesty. It’s really hard to tame excitement when I am in the middle off such and amazing catch like this one. I don’t know how to not be excited and catch fish at the same time.
