poeple are theorizing this is glitchtrap, I want to inform though, that maybe nightcore doesn’t feel like herself anymore, and is trapped in this cycle of something they are not, which, nightcore isn’t glitchtrap, aswell as maybe they feel, that if they don’t post a glitchtrap video then they won’t be as successful and will fail. That’s what I think and with time that ticks by the more she realizes she’s lost herself, she can’t be free of this other personality, other character they have, it’s like glitchtrap has become apart of her, not the real glitchtrap, but the character she has in her mind, which in this case she has a sorta canon glitchtrap personality and character, the more nightcove is this character the more they lose themselves,

The way I saw it was character!nightcove telling Alt that he's never escaping, they had beef in previous lore crumbs and then the tables turned from Alt taunting C!NC to C!NC not letting him leave. Could be wrong though shrug

Why does this remind me how I feel like my body doesn't belong to me?

ACK I LOVE THIS AND I HAVE TWO INTERPRETATIONS 1. The literal one: NightCove is trapped by ALT and it is saying she will never be free from it (I genuinely do not remember the pronouns of ALT if it has any). It’s controlling her life and, no matter what NightCove says or does, she’s just going to get stuck in the loop again. 2. The metaphorical one: NightCove feels trapped by the content she makes, possibly feeling like she can’t change her content at all for fear of losing support and therefore her job. It could be showing how she has to keep playing Glitchtrap because it’s a sure fire way of not losing everything she’s worked so hard to build. HOWEVER At the bottom of the desc, there’s a sequence of numbers that, when thrown into a decoder, spell out “HELP ME.” Now, given the aforementioned theories, this can have two meanings. 1. The literal one: NightCove is begging for our help to save her from ALT and end whatever torture she is going through because of it. She wants to be done with ALT and move on, yet it won’t let her. 2. NightCove just wants to be able to change up her content or possibly go on to do new things without feeling fearful of it not working out. “Help me” could be her asking us to keep supporting her and letting her do what she needs to do to not only support her career, but also support herself as a person. Another theory: What if ALT is just a metaphor for the pressure placed on creators in general? I mean, it’s clearly the main reason she’s still doing Glitchtrap stuff (if we’re speaking in terms of the lore), which is working well for her career, but may not be what she really wants to do. However, as many people have come to learn, being a creator isn’t easy- the algorithm could literally hit a button and all of a sudden your views drop and people aren’t finding your content. Furthermore, if you are consistent wi the one sort of content and change it, people may not stick around and you may lose support for your work, which can be discouraging and negatively impact your career. If ALT is, in fact, a metaphor for this sort of pressure, then the story we’re headed for could be about breaking out of this vicious cycle and NightCove finally taking back control of her life, her art, and, well, herself. There’s a song by Derivakat called “Cycle” that literally talks about this exact topic. I love it. Highly recommend if you’ve never heard it! But HEY, that’s just a theory…A GAME THEORY! …It’s past midnight mb for yapping

alright here we go. assuming this video isn’t gonna be around very long, cuz there has been things like that in the past when it comes to lore. considering this is Afton, due to the outfit and saying how “you cannot be free”. he is talking to himself, talking about how he cannot escape nightcoves body and can’t see and be into the real world. now ANOTHER take on this is he is communicating with Nightcove, but speaking into the real world as he does it. saying they cannot be free from his control or something. now personally i’m more towards the first idea. now this all seems so sudden, but the visuals are VERY good so there is a chance this is teasing an upcoming project or some sort as well, but i wouldn’t keep my hopes up considering it’s glitchtraps posting day

My thoughts - night cove feels like the only thing that they are known for is glitchtrap, and they have to keep up the facade or no one will hear them. OR they are longing for the real world but will be shunned if they are out of character

Another one is the repeating mention of time, the clock ticking and the description, showing alt’s time is running out, similar to when nightcove’s was previously, I think these are showing how things have changed and the power and control have swapped around now

Also the “I’m an escapist’s invention” in the description refers to nightcove being the ‘escapist’ after getting out of the digital prison thing and how alt was made by her, how he had tried to rebel against her but failed as said when he says “I cannot resign”, meaning he cant stop without her saying he can (yes I’m gonna keep replying to my comment every time I pick up something new)
