I love how confident Ling Buyi is about the Emperor’s affection. He knows he can basically get away with anything. The putting in the corner after being frogmarched on the scruff of the neck, the ‘you little brat’ and the exasperation at the smiling is just so adorable.

It's so refreshing to see a emperor play this type of warm hearted role instead of being cruel, evil, or emotionally unavailable. The captain of the ship deserved to be front and center at the wedding!!! 😆

The Story of Ming Lan had a different director (Zhang). The director who did Love Like the Galaxy is director Fei and this is his first historical drama that he directed.

That's what he deserves, but he doesn't even get invited to the wedding in the end and he throws a hissy fit Because of it. It's literally hilarious

I love how Ling doesn't always have to say anything to her, sometimes just a look with direct eye contact and then he slowly blinks at her to make sure she's seen him...its more subtle than a nod but its super adorable little touches like that that made me fall in love with this couple 🥰

Hilarious that Emperor puts LBY in the corner like a naughty 5-year-old! 😂

When the emperor says, " you, little brat!". So funny. Sounds like a Father talking to his troublesome son! 🤣🤣🤣

When he threw that bun at him and was ready to slap some sense into him I fell out 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Now this is an Emperor who's power hasn't gone to his head and I'm here for it! Oh Lord, I just got a vision of the Emperor finding out his little daughter in law is pregnant, going crazy trying to make her go full bed rest, sending delicate foods and doctors every day. Then, pacing more frantically than the father during delivery. Then, when the baby is brought out he'll probably push the father out of the way so he can have the first cuddle! I just don't know which would be worse, a son to carry on the Huo family line, or a sweet little girl wrapping the mighty Emperor around her tiny little pinky.....

Love the emperor!! He is basically telling Ling Buyi that right now his job is to stay home, get married and have babies!!! 🤣🤣🤣

@@rueluxprince6982 Lol. There's a lot of instances that shows the emperor's hypocrisy when LBY is concerned. My favorite was when they were in the mountain and he was ranting about the young people secretly meeting up (dating) when the reason they went up there to was to pray for blessings. Upon hearing that LBY and CSS came back to the camp together, he did a 180 and said it's understandable if the younger ones would like to have a little fun. 🤣

I love how when Ling offers to lead the troops the Emperor goes full “Dad Mode” on him. He praises other son’s to fight but his own… nah, no way, shut that down and throw a pancake at his kid. Those are the consequences of upsetting your dad. 🤣🤣🤣

He became my #1 coolest and funniest Majesty in all dramas 🤣🤣 And I ❤️ her majesty and consort Yue too.
