you guys. i don't think i'll ever be able to put into words all the things these two make me feel. they were absolutely everything. i've been working on this video for the best part of the last 3 weeks and though i don't think i'll ever be able to make something i'm 100% satisfied with (especially for these two), i think this is as close as i'm gonna get. i wanted to show their journey, their story, the parallels...the soft "mcdreamy" vibe they have (especially in the early seasons) with the colouring/transitions, as well as some of the parallels in their later relationship, when they lived out their post-it vows and became extraordinary. i really hope i did them justice. i think we can all agree that arizona said it best when she said that they were the great love story. what a ride, i'm sad it ended the way it did but glad that shonda found a way to preserve their magic and make sure their love stayed true even without derek on the show.

I was Shonda Rhimes that screwed the whole show.
I feel like Mer and Derek's relationship was highly overrated. When Derek died, mer finally got to grow instead of being in this bubble with derek. Not to say she never loved derek, but there were defiently points in their relationship where toxicity was floating around.
