Shen's safety blankie cracks me the fuck up, every time...

Zombie outbreak finding a bunch of Pokedex lying around is lore AF.

On expanding this challenge, you can always do rabies instead. Same concept but either with a "if it faints it dies" rule or a "if it infects x amount of mons it dies", forcing you to be moving around the board rather than sticking to staples.

I love this mode.. hopefully it will be back soon ❤

I'm not sitting here being mad at shen for the rare candies and money, but you gotta do it too Chris. its was just a pretty big time save, It felt like I knew the outcome at 1:15 in.

On my first playthrough of soul silver i did get a shiny magicarp in the water on the way to the shiny gyarados

Chris and Shen, when are you going to rematch but use Pokérus as the status condition for infecting the Pokemon in zombie race?

Am I crazy, or could Chris have totally dominated this from pretty early on? As part of that top right chain, he got mons like Natu, Psyduck, and Ponyta infected very early. Evolving all of them (and his haunter once it infected something else) could’ve gotten him 6+ chains before shen even got to the magby (for his 3rd chain). Keep in mind this was simple to do since they could buy rare candies (and none of them were too far away, outside of ponyta)… And also, is there a reason he was so low-leveled for so long? Even after shen revealed the trick he did for infinite money, did Chris not do it for integrity purposes? Just checking since I was listening audio-only for some parts and maybe missed something obvious, haha

He said at the end he didnt think evolving was that important. he should have taken the candies and leveled+evo. The time spent was very worth it, as seen in shens run

I like this race. I would also like a version of it where the board with the pokemon is not symetric but maybe like with some turns and twists. with like some pokemon only beeing able to be infected by 1 other pokemon or evolving or so. Likely grafic for it would be the pokemon in a glasses shape with 2 longer thin ways and the two glasses as the big cluster and a small bridge maybe like 2 pokemon wide between the glasses. Hope you all can follow what i mean.

I don't know if you or anyone will see my comment, but I want to know how you make the tracker in a hexagonal shape? My friend and I started doing zombie races like you, but we can only have the tracker in a rectangular shape, we can't find the option to change to a hexagon!

I don't get it, I thought you had to infect every pokemon. Light blue just means it's next to an infected pokemon, right? That means, on average, less than half the Pokemon have been infected

Everquest 2 - collectors edition auto levels to 125 and set skills with L and setup hotbar with K and claim rewards to get the flying mount - it has fast travel - The dragon 2 streams ago wallstbets was insane they have like mad dragons

I'm only justnear the strtof the video but.....why not go through dark cave if you have rocksmash? it's a massive advantage if a late-seed unwall is behind it.

So I get that that the snorlax is the fastest way to get to left side Kanto but why can't they surf there from Fuchsia?

Is there a way to enable opponents randomly having shiny? Might be a way to speed up things slightly if they hit uninfected mons… then again it’s too easy to abuse if you have multiple of its surrounding mons you could wipe and get 4 mons infected instantly 🤔

I think that might be very hard because in Gen 2 being a shiny is determined by the Pokémon IVs

The run was fun, but is there any reason not to immediately get a team of 6 and use the first pokemon you infect to give your whole team infect? It seems like that would speed things up by an hour or something. Am I crazy?

Ah, ok thanks for clarifying that. I guess it still might be worth catching things that are within a hex or two to cut back on backtracking, but it’s nowhere near as useful as I was thinking.

Shen missplayed after the shiny, when chris said the poke had good moves he shouldve just looked it up in one of the 8 dexes he got at that point and candied it for the evo so another infection on the card and a really good pokemon

Moves only matter when you need to beat red, especially if you already have an overleveled main.

Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I'd like to see Chris race some other people besides Shen. Shen could play fair and not do things like cheese for infinite money, or at least check to see if Chris is going to do the same. But he doesnt. And when he's behind, he's a terrible loser, and every little thing that goes wrong is "awful luck" and never just him making the wrong decisions.

Very unpopular opinion. Cheese is part of the game. Its a rando. Would you not use a broken huge power poke in emerald or use a lv20 tier1 if it appeared? Its just how randos work.
