risk of rain 2 is brilliant because you can speedrun it and outpace the scaling, or you can full loot and outscale the scaling. I'm a full looter, however I do use speedrun starts (h0st skip, phase 4 Mithrix skip, AWU skip) and i regularly watch speedrunning competitions for it

@@McHaletheScott eh, I dunno, a sub 30 is stupidly fast and watching the loadout races you see a lot of then even with shite loadout. So if you loot smartly you can outpace the scaling

I was thinking about games with time trials, but I felt like it would make more sense to focus specifically on games that are solely about speedrunning

RoR isnt reeally a speedrunning game, if you go too fast you wont get enough loot and die, you can spend 30 minutes per stage and get every item and you'll be fine. theres no point to not full looting
