Hearn advised Benn to avoid Avenesyan, he advised Benn not to fight for the British title, he advised AJ to fight Franklin instead of a bigger world title fight..... Ben Shalom is just taking care of his young fighter who doesn't need to fight Smith at this point. He's only 21, still learning and that fight can happen when he's ready. He doesn't need Smith.

The difference between Azim and the rest of the people you mentioned, Azim was the champion, so he, his team and promoter all thought he was ready for European level, hence they let him fight for the belt, then defend it once. Soon as he got a mandatory that he wasn’t likely to beat he vacated. Your not a true champion if you vacate everytime your set you fight an opponent who might beat you.

Yep. Also people at like Azim hasn't defended his title when he has, against a tough guy who held the belt not long before him & only lost it outside the ring due to inury/inactivty. Look back historically at the European title & it's a stepping stone, not something you're meant to hang on forever & defend every mandatory. You either move to fringe world level or often trainers will pick & choose fights to aid a fighters development that mandaotries don't always provide. Hardly a criminal duck when the guy is 21 & just ain't ready, why would you guide a fighters career based off a rival promoters big mouth pressuring you into it. Look out for your fighter, same way Hearn would rather have this fight now for Smith than few years when Azim's better. Self interest.

Remember years ago, when Kugan asked Eddie if they were mates/friends and Eddie told him no way. I think they are mates now. Always a pleasure to listen to.

Outrage is way overblown by the casuals & Hearn worshippers. It's a fight that only gets bigger & more competitive. Hearn wants it now to raise Smith's profile & he knows it's his best shot of catching Azim young. Shalom knows his fighter ain't ready & doesn't need the promo due to Sky so will avoid it. Except reading the comments you'd think this was duck of the century lol. Same reason Shalom pulled Fraizer Clarke, bloke wasn't ready & had never done more than 8 rounds in 6 fights, 1 year later Clarke had done 2 more fights & was better prepped, paid more in a bigger fight for both fighters.

@@_brutalaudio Nah never had any problems with anything else, on high speed cable broadband, TNT worked fine in HD, second time DAZN has been like this and looking at the forums, there are a lot of others having the same issues. They need to up the power of their servers or bandwidth at broadcast. And the customer service was so dismissive they were frankly rude. Not another penny out of me.

I had the same issues mate & along with them changing prices i left for a dodgy stream which is 10x better quality & never fails. The way they market the subscriptions to casuals is full of horror stories trapping people into plans they can't cancel easily/or extra charges. It's like they wanna fail
