my parents played pigmeat's albums so much until they started to scratch.i still have all of them,,now pig was the best comedian of all time.listening to this takes me back to my childhood days..my goodness

Yes sir! 10 years young, just returning from Germany, and at the Apollo with Pigmeat and Moms Mabley --- LIVE! Didn't have the first darn clue what the jokes meant and why my parents were passing out laughing.... I understand now ... and when that (and this one) comes to mind at work --- can't get any work done laughing!!! "Take another drink, and talk to me!"

Now this is original hip hop

I remember those albums as a kid. I wrote a poem honoring him a year before he passed. His son took it to him and Pigmeat gave his son an autographed pic of himself and Baby Seals to give me. Quite a great man! I'll always love Pigmeat Markham!

Pigmeat Markham actually played in few episodes of Rowan and Martin Laugh In Sock It To Me in 1968 as a judge. He actually sang just like Tiny Tim the Swanee River with a ukulele and long hair. Pigmeat Markham (1906-1981).

Boy this is good to listen too it brings back my childhood when my grandparents put he and Mom's Mabley on and we where supposed to be playing but we where listening

I remember hanging out with a buddy and his older brothers back in 1962 listening to Pigmeat and Moms Mabley. We had loads of laughs. Just a few years later, I had the pleasure of meeting Moms Mabley in a grocery store near my home town. She had the endearing charm of a grandma. She looked exactly as she does on the cover the the album "Hide the Whiskey".

Omg i still remember word for word. We listened to pigmeat on vinyl records. Lol

As a young child I had this album, and it always gave me 😂 all the time. 😊 09:36 am

I first heard Pigmeat Markham, Moms Mabley and Redd Foxx right around the same time... probably around 1965.

I like the one with Baby Seals playing the other guy. Seals cracked me up talking trash back to Pigmeat.

Wow, Everytime the older folks had a party, they would send the kids 'up to bed' and be playing this stuff downstairs. And we had a playful Uncle who would always bring us a sip of rum. MAAN, I MISS THOSE DAYS, brings tears to my eyes just thinkin' about it!
