I found when I add biofine to the transfer line when I am pressure transfering a beer it does mix in way better than to add it to the fermenting keg. That way, it´s a lot more effective. Having a hoppy Helles almost done that I´ll be fining with biofine!

One of my favorite recipes. Just finished mine but did not ferment under pressure. I did the typical fermentation schedule with a diacetyl rest. I have more respect for brewers with the least cost equipment available. Buddies in our club have $5,000 systems and their beer sucks. I remember seeing when you just started out, BIAB with a homemade brew kettle. A ratcheting pulley is all you need. Ferment in a bucket. I'll agree with you that temperature control is most important. A $50 Craigslist chest freezer was a luxury. That stepped my beers up dramatically. Your DIY Keezer is also nice. 👍

I’ve had success with lagers at room temp without temp control or pressure fermentation vessels!! I just have my 3 gallon fermonster in a 5 gallon painters bucket submerged in cold water to make sure it doesn’t go through major temp swings. I would say, in my experience, the enemy isn’t high temperatures, it’s major temperature changes in a short period of time.
