getting plastic surgery is fine but the lying about it is the issue especially with having an impressionable audience since they think that there are these impossible beauty standards that aren't achievable without the plastic surgery and procedures these celebrities get

A facelift with a really good surgeon is $20k+. There is a famous surgeon who invented the ponytail life that a few celebrities have had and he charges $150k!! Celebrities do not pay normal prices. They go to the best doctors so they spend double the price usually. Doctors that “normal” people can’t afford. So don’t think you’ll get the same results as them.

Depends on where you live...they are about 10grand in Midwest with a great surgeon. Also, most of those celebrities like Meghan Fix get free lifts because they promote the surgeon..

You should film your next videos in your bathroom, I think people on tik tok are obsessed with it because the lighting is sooooo good!

I struggle because if we are changing our bodies in a way that society asks for (bigger boobs, lips, smaller waist, etc) how can we truly say we are “doing it for ourselves” ? Is it making us momentarily happy until the next trend tells us we aren’t good enough and want to change again? People say let people enjoy things, they aren’t hurting anyone. Aren’t we just hurting ourselves? Idk, I struggle with it.

That’s not really my point. When so many only feel comfortable when they fit the ideal body shape of the time how can it be their true personal preference? It just sounds like peer pressure to fit societal standards that we rationalize that because we choose it and say it’s what we want that it’s not detrimental to our physical and mental health.

@@StephanieP3 yea i agree I think it’s gaslighting yourself to say it’s for me when it’s not wanting to admit to not wanting to address the underlying need for approval cause that’s a painful but overall more satisfying process for sure. We tell ourselves stories unknowingly like ‘I’m this sort of person’ so then it can be surprising to find out our core beliefs and what we’re operating from are actually so different than what we thought we thought about ourselves. It’s so funny & interesting. I personally find the inward journey fun & interesting because once shame is released self exploration is fun cause you aren’t ashamed of anything you find cause you aren’t seeing stuff in such a binary good or bad way if that makes sense. Release of shame tho is def hard but it just takes practice like anything else and then it eventually snowballs and becomes easy. It’s faster than you think.

I absolutely agree with you. I lost a significant amount of weight years ago and the way people treated me was like night and day. But I didn't feel any different about myself. At all. Unless you work on what's on the inside first, nothing will truly change for the better.

@@angj3611 we can talk about it for sure but if you´re gonna police content creators who support themselves by partnering with Shein and only Shein that's a laugh. Most brands are the same yet we only hear this about Shein. I'm not saying you're like that, but there's just no ethical way to consume things under capitalism. Does that mean we should give up? no. If we can we buy clothes that are certified as free from slavery (most are expensive), or second hand clothing if you can find it in your size that's awesome. If we can be aware of these issues and consume less clothing, repair, and not buy stuff you don't need also great. But If we are gonna pretend one brand in particular is forbidden and the other ones are ok you can miss me with that 🥱

Lots can be done with hair, make-up and clothing. Ya if she’s talking about TBD (tubular breast deformity) I had it too. I hated mine so much and I had my surgery a few years ago and am so happy with it. Sorry that other folks have it too. It’s not fun! 😭 Definitely make sure you find a good surgeons who specializes in treating that condition as some surgeons aren’t specialists and can apparently worsen the condition as you not only have to do an implant but also a lift and areola re-construction.

I so agree about there being no ugly people.
