The subtle nods of various forms of acknowledgment from Rick to Daryl have always gave me chills for the level of respect and support they’ve had for each other. It’s been happening for a long time now and better continue shortly ❤

I honestly feel like the best moment in the Rick/Daryl friendship was when Dale was ripped open by a walker, and Rick was struggling to put him down. Daryl took the gun and did it for him, later saying "ain't no reason you should do all the heavy lifting".

Bruh just made me choke up wi the that remembrance…one of the greatest shows ever!

It’s poetic in a way. 2 strangers who met and initially didn’t like eachother, who both lost a brother to the apocalypse (Daryl losing Merle and Rick being forced to kill Shane) ended up finding brotherhood in eachother that was a far healthier relationship with their brothers beforehand.

Tbh Daryl liked Merle as a brother with the same blood but never liked that much how he was and understood how asshole his brother was. But he always saw Rick as his real brother in arms, someone who would be there to fight to the last breath. Merle redeemed himself by killing himself fighting the Governor's men. Daryl understood that chance he gave to him, as for Rick he never got the chance to see what happened to him.

Him and Merlenhad their differences. Him and Rick always saw eye to eye, and if they did rarely disagree they never fought. Merle was a drug addicted man who abandoned him, Rick never left Daryls side for nothing.

To think Daryl is a character made specifically for the show, not taken from the comics, and he’s had THIS much of an impact? Norman Reedus is incredible.

TWD is and was and always will one hell of a show..nothing compares to it...

Love how ricks last episode was spent with Daryl, it’s like you always knew how close they were but that last episode really shows it in very subtle ways

I miss rick. The show felt empty without him being the leader.

The symbolism in Rick and Daryl’s reunion is astounding. Not to mention Normans acting in the hug scene. You can see his character hurting, but still so relieved. And when he hands back Ricks gun, Rick then has everything he needs. His right hand man, both of them. It is a moment of hope, of togetherness. This scene simply *feels* like a change in the wind. Beautifully done to both Andrew and Norman.

I love the scene when they're fighting about dealing with the saviours and when the ambulance is about to explode daryl doesn't even hesitate to help Rick even though they were at each other's throats moments before

This is one of the reasons why any spinoff with Rick and Michonne NEEDS to have the reunion between Rick and Daryl. Daryl spent months looking for his body after the explosion. If they do it and Daryl's off in France, it'll be such a missed opportunity.

In my opinion, Daryl was the only one that appreciated Rick's good heart

They honestly chose the right cast for this show they all fit their characters so well

When the bridge exploded and Daryl thought Rick died, Daryl and many others lost a lot. Not only was Rick a very close friend that they both considered each other as brothers. They've both been through hell with each other. Rick was also their leader, he was someone to look to for strength and courage, someone to guide the way. At that moment Daryl just lost that.

@Wyvern Of Strength Lori is physical proof, that you need a brother over a woman. Shane and Rick were best friends and Lori ruined that by getting close with Shane. And Shane was that brother that should’ve prioritized being a friend to Rick and not prioritizing Rick’s wife.

Daryl was the Shane Rick needed, and Rick was the Merle Daryl needed.

The best duo ever!!! Rick was more of a brother to Daryl than Merle ever was.

It's so beautiful. Rick is what Merle should have been/Daryl needed him to be and Daryl is what Shane should have been/Rick needed him to be.

Actually, he spent years ... I'm not sure but i think he spent like five years or so in the time jump then showed him living by the river

Daryl said that he never found Rick as a walker so he never stopped searching.

These 2 are such good actors, it’s inspiring. Perfect characters for them to play.

The bromance we all needed. (The dark knight reference) they went thru so much crap together: the governor, the prison, terminus, the claimers, being on the road and out of supplies, then the saviors- they need to know each is okay... ... have they reunited yet?? Cant miss, they just kick ass together.
